Entrees left a lot to be desired. Neither dish was hot. I never send food back, but my wife did ask to have hers microwaved. She was served a different meal that she said wasn’t nearly as good as she tasted the first time. My Phoenix chicken had every vegetable juliened, which wasnt appealing
The cartots esp were basically raw. My wife didnt enjoy her 3 delicacies the 2nd time around. Both of our fried rices were very dry and hard kernals, like it was made a different day.
As a side note, The price is posted on the menus online or drastically higher once you get to the restaurant. So I would recommend updating the pricing. Lunch is about $14 per entree. Which seems a little high compared to the local Chinese places in the area.
However, this restaurant is in desperate need of help, it clearly is lacking some sort of passion from whoever owns it for making decent food. Please please stop reheating your food in the microwave to serve it, it leaves the heat completely unevenly distributed on the plate. I think it’s fine to have pre-made foods (as long as it’s made in house and then frozen and not bought frozen, the fried rice was questionable) but just throw the frozen food in a wok to heat it back up before serving it please.
Plate by plate:
The crab puffs were inedible, the fillings were far too sweet and the wrapper was chewy, not crispy at all.
The cashew chicken had a delicious flavor and was obviously well prepared, but it was unevenly heated, some of the dish was cold or lukewarm while other bits were extremely hot.
The fried rice was ok, it was overly salty while also being light in color (too much salt, not enough soy sauce in my opinion) but the texture was slightly odd as well and honestly tasted a bit like the rice peas and carrots came from a pre-cooked frozen bag? I’m not positive that that’s true, that’s just what the flavor and texture reminded me of, the meat and onions were clearly fresh additions though and were quite good.
Overall I think this restaurant could be great, just toss the microwave in the trash and use the stove, and if you have to make the crab puffs in advance in large quantities, try freezing them raw and thawing/frying them the day you use them.
The ambiance of the restaurant is both elegant and inviting, striking a perfect balance that enhances the dining experience. Every detail, from the tasteful decor to the comfortable seating, contributes to a delightful atmosphere.
The menu is a standout, offering a wide variety of authentic dishes that cater to all palates. Each dish I tried was a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. The flavors were rich, balanced, and truly captured the essence of traditional cuisine.
A highlight of my visit was the exceptional service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They offered great recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
Moreover, the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant were impeccable, making the dining experience comfortable and reassuring, especially in these times.
