Delicious food, calm atmosphere, and great service. It was my first time trying Jin Shabu, but the experience was wonderful and I can’t wait to visit again.

They offer a sort of cook-it-yourself experience where you order up to two kinds of broths, and they bring them to you in a large pot that goes over your tabletop grill. You receive meats from your server, and have access to a self-serve bar of vegetables, noodles, seafood, and spices.

Because it is so customizable you can really experiment with flavors and come up with some delightful combinations. I was a big fan of the brisket and octopus in the spicy broth, and my fiancée enjoyed the pork belly in the sweet broth. Both pots also complemented each other quite well!

My favorite part of the ambiance was the privacy curtains. Because tables are all next to each other I imagine it would be easy to see what other diners are doing, but the curtains add a sense of privacy that made us feel like we were almost dining alone. Our service was also excellent. We had several people working in the restaurant come by during the meal to make sure we had all the broth, water, and meats that we wanted.

Definitely try Jin Shabu! It is delicious and well worth the money spent!

Genuinely the best hot pot I’ve had! The food was delicious, I love how everything was self-serve. Amazing variety of vegetables and seafood. The clams were amazing in the spicy broth. Service was amazing too, everyone was super nice and attentive, especially with supplying meat. They even gave us complementary desert (Korean shaved ice). It was really good! Loved this place, will definitely be coming back!

Price is slightly higher than other competitors, but the food is not really worth the price.

Pros:
Beef is fresh
Dessert (red bean with shaved ice) is yummy

Cons:
very few food selections
Very few self service side ingredients selections
Seafood quality is low, frozen for long time
Very limited sauce choices (no sesame sauce)
Pot looks dirty
No beef tongue

The prices are slightly higher than other competitors, but the food isn’t worth the price. The meat selection is very limited. Limited sauce options.
I have it as lunch with my family today, and everyone experienced diarrhea. This isn’t my first time here, and I’ve never had this problem before; I always thought it was fine. This diarrhea has made me feel terrible, and my stomach was still upset until midnight. I’ve lost all trust in this restaurant and will never come back, even though they probably don’t need me as a customer.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Jin Shabu today! It had been approximately a year since my last visit, and I must say, revisiting this place was truly a fantastic decision.

The service was exceptional, and the young man assisting me was truly outstanding in every way. He made sure my dining experience was enjoyable and memorable.

Initially, when the broth was served, it was decent, but as I progressed through my meal and started to feel satisfied, the broth transformed into a delicious and flavorful concoction that perfectly complemented the meal.

The thinly sliced meats were a highlight, as they cooked quickly in the broth, allowing me to enjoy their tenderness and flavors without any delay.

Now, as I sit here feeling full and content, I cannot help but express my gratitude for such a wonderful meal and experience. If you haven’t been to Jin Shabu in a while, I highly recommend revisiting this gem for a delightful dining experience that will leave you feeling just as satisfied and happy as I am right now.

We went for AYCE lunch. It’s a big place with plenty of tables. I like the curtains between each table, makes it feel private. The waitress was really nice.

We got the 2 brisket and eye roll only because if you don’t eat every meat you order they charge you for what’s left so we were pacing ourselves. And it was plenty, probably could have started out with 3 servings instead. There was of course other meats we could have asked for included in the price like chicken or beef belly but it would have been too much.

We also got a bunch of veggies from the buffet. I love mushrooms so loaded my plate up with that. I wasn’t crazy about the fish and shrimp cakes, they tasted super super fishy. Also mushrooms were fresh except the shiitake were dried which made them very chewy when cooked.

The broths were flavorful but not overpowering. And it was so easy to cook your own food! I like the experience, I left very full.

Shout out to the server that took care of me W service and didn’t make me feel embarrassed for my decision.

I came in about a week ago, used to like this place a lot. I will say recently something tastes off about the meat, lol I actually ended up throwing up here one time after eating out with my friends. BUT that’s not the point, something tastes off about the meat but I don’t pay any attention to it cause I’m already locked in, I sat down, I ate meat and I don’t like causing issues so there’s no turning back now. Waiter comes in asks what I want. I tell her 2 things of beef belly to start me off, and that free big box of beef with the green onions and stuff. After letting the broth come to a boil I try to start eating. But a fly is buzzing around me, I pay no attention to it…. Until I see it lands on that big box of beef. I separate the pieces it lands on and I notice the fly is still hovering around aiming for my food. So I panic and dump the rest in the pot. I’m not shoveling this food down my throat cause I don’t want to overcook the meat lol…… UNTIL the fly starts landing on my other plate of meat. At this point I don’t want to battle the fly so I call my waiter over I ask if I can just be checked out and told her the issue. She was super kind and told me she would cover it and I could leave if I wanted to. There was a lot of meat still visible at my table and it was obvious I didn’t get to eat, I just didn’t want the thought of me eating after a fly. Told the waiter I’d still like to tip her, but I didn’t have cash. So I presume she spoke with her manager. The manager then only gave me a 20% discount…. Which was pretty much just tax taken off. Manager didn’t care but the waiter cared. Sadly I won’t be coming back, wish it was different but if the manager had just come to my table to talk to me maybe she’d see I was just being honest. But I didn’t want to be a Karen or give anyone a hard time so I paid my dues and left.

Thank you to the waiter that served me I wish I took your name down. Shame on the manager that couldn’t even talk to me about the issue and just charged me pretty much full price. You’re lucky I’m not a Karen and hate public confrontation. But sadly quality of food here has gone down and the lack of empathy from management shows. Won’t be comming back

The all you can eat meat here is very competitive, in the sense that the quality and taste is great! You have a huge variety at the salad bar, as well as tons of options to create your own unique sauces. It can get really busy here but the wait is worth it. They accommodate large parties and occasions as well, and the service is great in terms of making sure you are not waiting around for more meat or drinks.

Made it in just before six and beat the rush. The variety of items to add to your hot pot is great. The items are fresh and restocked quickly. The meats were really good and service was excellent. Many different sauces to choose from, the chili oil and peanut sauces were great in flavor. Will definitely go back.

Jin Shabu: Where the Price Tag is High, but So is the Quality! Thinly sliced meats and veggies cooked in simmering broth. This was my first time visiting and though expensive, it won’t be my last. My server Daniel was top notch; very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
