I stopped into Jim’s joint for some lunch, the people were nice the place was decorated nicely. After looking at the menu bored on the wall behind the register I chose to get a combo meal so I could taste a little bit of everything,
since it was my first time going to Jim’s joint I ordered the pulled pork combo with baked beans add on had to try the beans, macaroni and cheese and potato salad, and I got some of their punch to drink the punch was a little Bland and the food was okay the portions were okay the flavor was okay the price was okay everything about Jim’s joint was just okay that’s what I say.

Tried the pork BBQ ribs for the first time and I love them. I wish they were a bit more meatier but I understand you have to work with what you have. Incredible smoke flavor and sauce. Will definitely have them again and again. I love this place

Tiny but excellent barbeque spot in downtown Honor! The pork and Cuban sandwiches are so good, full of meat and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Order from the counter and your food is brought to you lickety-split.

Convenient place to stop for a quick delicious bite. Pork and beef BBQ sandwiches were delicious. Environment was good and staff were pleasant. Only downside was sticky tables. I can only imagine how much delicious BBQ sauce has to be wiped up from satisfied but sloppy customers.

Found Jim’s Joint just passing through Honor on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes just hoping to find a “decent” lunch. Jim’s completely exceeded our expectations. Barbecue beef sandwich was outstanding–we split one and a salad. Kids loved their southwest chicken wraps. So glad we found this place!

This is the best place in town. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. The Philly flatbread is 10/10 and the corn cake as well. We love stopping by here for lunch the staff is super friendly and considerate.

The atmosphere was comfortable, the man that helped us order was very kind, and the area was very clean. Good variety of drinks and the southwest chicken I got was really good (maybe even one of the best), would definitely come back again if I came back to Honors!

Stopped in here just to find a bite and try something new after our camping trip. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, just something serviceable, but this place really has it going on. We came in with our twin 6-year-olds. My wife got the pork sandwich and I got the beef brisket platter. We both got Mac and potato salad sides because our kids will eat those. Brisket was perfect, fat melted right into very tender meat, and the spicier sauce they have on the tables is simple but balanced perfectly with a nice zing (the sweeter one is good as well). My daughter ate half of my wife’s sandwich and my son got into my brisket as well, and they don’t usually even like barbecue. We barely got any of our sides away from the littles, because those were very good as well, especially if you like a dilly potato salad. The prices for what you get are very good for these days, where everything is crazy, especially meat. Even with our children eating from our orders, I still felt like I had enough to eat. So the portions were quite good. Honestly, for me, if it’s consistently this good, it’s one of the very best BBQ places in the state and my wife and I go to quite a few. We hope to come back and find the meal, service, and fountain pop just as inviting. Until next time.
