Soo much Alameda history in this shop! I remember it only being a counter and tables along the wall when I was a kid, and I remember when they expanded it to have more tables in the back! 3 generations owned and going strong! Glad to know my parents still frequent this place! I’m always glad to go here with my wife and kids!

Jim’s Coffee Shop in Alameda is truly special to me. I had my birthday breakfast here when I was 9, and it’s been a place of comfort and great memories ever since. The food is always solid, the coffee hits the spot, and the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. It has that classic, cozy neighborhood feel that makes you want to keep coming back. Alameda is lucky to have a place like this. ☕

Great food. Very large portions, delicious to eat, pretty presentation. I know food doesn’t have to be pretty, but it makes me happy when it is. Place was almost empty on a Monday morning, but we got there right as they opened. I will definitely go to this place again.

Huge food portions, I had to take home the half of my plate. But good American menu. The only detail was that they have few kids’ options, without suggestions to customize some dishes.

Jim’s coffee shop is one of those hidden gems. Looks from the front is deceiving as it looks small. But once inside it is pleasantly large. A wall full of booths, counter seating and tables. Super friendly and welcoming staff that serve quick and delicious food. Breakfast & lunch are served. Some TVs and a menu with a ton of tasty food. We had lunch and it was great! I will return to Jim’s and I highly recommend a stop in. Plenty of parking as well.

Best breakfast spot in alameda hands down. Now that Shang Tao and Pamela Price have killed businesses being able to operate on Haggenberger Road (Dennys, Black Bear, In and Out, Raising Canes), this is by far the best find I’ve encountered near Oakland International Airport. There’s a massive parking lot in the back along with a rear entrance door.

It’s clear the servers and manager enjoys working here and takes pride in their work. The food was really legit and the price to value off the charts. Everything about this spot is ‘stuck in time’ in the best possible way. Highly recommended you stop by if you’re needing to load up on calories early on in your day. Cheers! Will def be backs

When I say the is a Hidden Gem! I mean this is the definition of it. They are in back parking lot. (Food review at bottom)
(I like ketchup on my food. Sorry I ruined the picture)
I’m a first-time customer. I called in for my order absolutely the best customer service over the phone, extremely helpful, knowledgeable and asked questions pertaining to my order to better help.
I ordered a Western Omelette and it came loaded with all the trimmings. Great presentation, Great taste, and more than enough to fill me up twice in one sitting. You can Definitely tell the difference in Taste when someone cooks food and they do it because they enjoy it their job. The Amazing quality of food was evident in the wholesome and welcoming environment as I was happily greeted by staff.

Great food and prices weren’t bad considering everything is skyrocketing in price because of poor election outcomes and poor choices by politicians… out the door for my meal with a coffee was a little less than $18.48 without tip.

The staff and service here was great and conveniently located.

Also the men’s bathroom had a diaper changing station which I thought was nice, not everywhere has that and it was really clean

What a gem! The delicious slaps you in the face before you open the door with all of the scents that a legit diner breakfast should have.
The service is great, the food is fast to arrive, and the menu is bountiful. The roomy booths and counter spots greet you at the front next to the open diner-style kitchen. There’s more seating in the back as well.
We tried the house-made corned beef hash and the chicken and waffle. Both of our plates were above and beyond in flavor, with plenty of food to boot. The chicken was juicy and crispy, worthy of cleaning the pieces down to the bone. The hash was crisped up nicely. They buttered the toast well, made our crispy hash browns as requested, and did I mention the food came out fast?
Coffee is delicious and strong.
I’m excited to come back and try more things. We visited early, before 9am and there was no wit but as we were leaving things might have been getting busier, so I imagine there’s a wait sometimes. Worth it.
