Great food and great service. The cook messed up my order, but the waitress more than made up for the honesty error. It was a lot of food for the money! My son Chris chose this place for our last dinner together before I flew back home to South Florida. I left my son to go back to dealing with the snow and ice without me! He made Grant his home recently. He loves it there!

Awesome bar with great food off M37 in Newaygo that never disappoints! Today we got the Southwest Salad and Smothered Chicken, both delicious! Service is always fabulous- everyone is always so cheerful, we feel like family here. The restaurant has an open and clean space that is inviting and family friendly for sure. Full bar and fresh brewed ice tea. Coke products. Clean restrooms.

We typically love going here, but upon moving away haven’t went in at least a year. We recently moved back and went for Lunch on Saturday, and found out quickly that the food has majorly backslid. My chicken was extremely dry and cold, it all tasted like microwaved food and it sat in the window for way too long. The coleslaw was crunchy and tasted pre bought or something. We were 1 of 3 tables sat in the whole house. The front of house and servers were super sweet, but we will not be returning 🙁

Amazing place! A must visit!!
We sat at the bar. It was our first time there and we told the waitress and then the owner who was sitting there eating a prime rib special welcomed us. Jimmy! He is such a kind guy and told us a little bit about the backstory of how he purchased the restaurant from his father. Told us about all of the cool decorations in there, how he used fencing to put up for wood on the walls which looks really cool. He is semi-retired and he is able to because of his fabulous staff! It was so much fun talking to him.
The food was absolutely fabulous! We just came in for a drink but decided to try something from the menu. I ordered ahi tuna off the appetizer menu and my husband ordered chili cheese fries. Both which were yummy.
The bartender was attentive and made sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend coming here people!! It’s always busy so I’m really glad we were able to squeeze in in the afternoon.

The other day was our 3rd time eating at Jimmy’s since moving to the area earlier this summer. Every time we went we were not disappointed.
The first visit gave a very good first impression. We were excited to try the perch and blue gill which we saw on the menu and it was done so well. Lightly dusted, without heavy seasoning. The skewered mushrooms were deliciously buttery and not over-cooked. I absolutely died when I tried the cinnamon dip for the sweet potato fries. All the appetizers were delicious as well.
The 2nd time we went I brought my 85 yr old mother-in-law. The food was just as good. And the service, even better. If that’s at all possible. Our waitress was extremely polite and patient with her as she refuses to lose her independence. But is slow to get her words out right sometimes. But the staff were absolute gems.
We went back again the other day, and after debating between the ribs or smothered chicken, I went with the chicken. I was so happy I did. Even without the delicious mushrooms, onions, cheese and sauce on it, the chicken itself was juicy, not dry or over-cooked. And all the flavors together were absolutely mouth watering.
Jimmy’s has definitely become our favorite spot so far, and can see why it has remained popular for over 50 yrs.

The service was amazing, the food was delicious. Absolutely thrilled with both the environment and the menu options. Specifically, our waitress, Missy, did a fantastic job making sure we were both served well and aware of all the options. Not a single mistake was made. Truly a fantastic environment.

We waited an hour for a table to dine in. Well worth the wait! The wait staff was friendly and did a great job regardless of how busy they were. Jimmy came around to the table and conversed with us, thanked us for coming in.
The menu was extensive and the food we ordered was really tasty. It was out quicker than we expected for how busy they were.

Terrible. Jimmy’s used to be a good restaurant. If I could give them a zero star rating I would do so now. Not sure what happened to this place. If your atypical bar goer who just needs food to absorb the alcohol this is the place to go. Their prices are crazy high for gfs crap food. Smugglers is putting them to shame in every aspect. So guessing they think they need to raise prices to keep in business selling food. The artichoke chicken even my 10 year old said looked disgusting. Orders were not correct even as simple as ordering specifically 2 times boneless honey bbq wings couldn’t even get them in sauce like ordered. Will not being going back. It’s run down the same its been for 10 years since they redid it or how ever long ago that was. You like bar food is the place for toy to go. Over all experience absolutely disappointing to see how down hill they’ve gone

Staff is decent but half the food comes frozen and they just heat it up for you. Wings are mainly fat and I would definitely not order again. Chances of my return are low, save yourself some money and buy a frozen bag of meat and cook it yourself.
My cup of water was empty after about 30 minutes and never got a refill

Ate at Jimmy’s back in July with 2 buddies. Phenomenal place to get an ice cold beer after spending all day on the river. The fried bluegill special was killer, cheap too. Hard to find a cooler place than Jimmy’s.
