Was very disappointed my order was wrong upon pickup. Didn’t bother going back bc I stay a good distance away. The pork chop was great, the sandwich was good, the sausage eggs and grits were sub par.

I went here today after a 10 year absence and boy has this place changed! My servers used to be Patty and Barbara and everything ran smoothly and the food was really good. It was reasonably priced.
Unfortunately the service was slow through no fault of the server. The restaurant was extraordinarily hot and I don’t enjoy sweating while I eat. Few people do.
Most appalling was the pricing: two people for breakfast with the basic entree in 2 cups of coffee was 40 bucks before tip. That’s insane! You could have got the same food I had at La Carreta for half the price or even somewhere like Bagelmania or First Watch for a lot less money. I was mystified.
The restaurant is very dark and it had a very dingy feel to it, which disappointed me because it was always bright vibrant and crowded when I’ve gone in the past.
The fact that it was almost empty at 9:30 on a Saturday is all you really need to know. I really can’t see myself going back and that’s sad.

This place was recommended to us so we decided to give it a try. The place is very homey. You come in and you seat yourself. Immediately, we were handed menus and our drinks came pretty quickly. The food was fairly inexpensive. Our food came out in stretches because the waitress kept forgetting what we ordered. I had to flag my waitress down a couple times to get coffee refills. The place was packed but it wasn’t that busy to constitute my waitress for my being inattentive. I couldn’t eat my salmon patties because they were too salty and the pancakes I ordered for myself were very large, however, they were doughy. Everyone else loved their food.

Yes, I will be back. I loved my breakfast. The service was not good but EXCELLENT! The food was even better, less seasoned food allows the freshness of products to shine. Bravo Jimmy’s! Oh my Westside omelet was so good and the biscuits are so perfect I asked for seconds.
Please be aware its not a pretty place for date night but EXCELLENT for home cooked fresh food. Support your local restaurant.

I ordered 2 meat loaf to go yesterday at jimmys in north miami as i was eating my meatloaf and chewing it it was a piece of hair i. My moutb from the meatloaf i call to talk to the managef she say the cook have no hair that was not the point. I could of got sick the hair came from some where and it did not have to be from the cook maybe someone else mix the meat loaf and it was a long strain of hait just be careful these places only care about making money not our health

I am only given three stars for now, because I just tried breakfast; the pancake tasted blend, but the waffle had more flavor, the eggs were ok but the bacon was great N crispy. But the next thing I will try will be the hamburger. They may not be the best in pancakes but they can be in burgers and they have other stuff I haven’t tried yet.

Old school diner feel, lots of different choices for breakfast! They serve lunch too but I only picked breakfast options. The food came out piping hot & delicious! Reminds me of Denny’s before it became so commercialized. Good quality food and even better prices. The wait staff were all very attentive and friendly.

Very friendly staff. Was greeted and seated right away. Felt some areas could use a update, some of the dishes seemed older and warn. Bathroom was clean but again could use renovation. Overall you get the old fashioned diner vibe but with some upgrades like an espresso machine, I think would bring in more customers. I just got some coffee and a slice of cake while I was waiting on a car wash. Food was good just not amazing!

Overall the Jimmy’s brand is just as classic as the dishes. Great portions and service. Each location is different but very similar menus. This was first visit to this location but will say they did amazing work with Mahi! Highly recommend if you want some fish n grits. House potatoes were very delicious but eggs were a little over done. It’s understandable because it was busy.
