My only disappointment is that we haven’t come sooner. My family has been frequenting this area of Minnesota for over 50 years. We are about a 20 minute drive from Walker. Why we haven’t been to Jimmy’s for breakfast is beyond me. My wife and I visited for the first time June 2025 and will definitely be back. Breakfast was delicious! Biscuits & Gravy, hash browns, pancakes, and bacon were about as good as you can get. I didn’t ask, but it may have been pure maple syrup for the pancakes. Excellent!

Amazing place for breakfast or lunch. Haven’t personally tried any dinners yet but if it’s even half as good as what we had, It’s gotta be great. I had the hot beef and a friend had the country fried steak breakfast. Hot beef was great. Gravy was full of flavor and the mashed potatoes were fresh and not boxed potatoes. Perfect portions of all except for the beef. It was decent but I feel could have been just a little more as it was slightly overpowered by the gravy. Will definitely stop by anytime I’m passing through.

Wonderful diner-feel with northwoods appointments. Service was outstanding and the food tasted great, was a generous portion and came out super fast. Everyone seemed happy and very welcome. The diner bar was being utilized well. Good value for the money (very reasonable prices). Love thials place and will likely frequent in the future.

A great value for breakfast favorites.
If Jimmy’s is anything, it’s consistent. Every time you come here you know exactly what you’re getting. Fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, sweet waffles with whipped butter and much more are served all day here so you won’t miss out if you’re not an early riser. They’ve been around for over 65 years and it shows in their classic recipes and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend stopping in for breakfast if you’re looking for great food at a great price point.

Had a great breakfast this morning in Walker,MN at Jimmy’s Family Restaurant! I took my two daughters with me to have that perfect “Up North” breakfast! Service was on point and the food was delicious. My daughters love the pancakes, waffles, and French toast! The homemade flavor accompanies everything served. I went with the omelet and the crispy hash browns. If your driving by Jimmy’s Hungry or looking to enjoy some family time in the morning look no further. Come hungry as portions are large and flavorful. Thanks Jimmy’s!!
Oh and that homemade caramel role is on point each morning and pairs well with a hot black coffee! Yummy in my tummy!

Food was delicious and served quickly. Loved the eggs and pancakes. My daughter enjoyed the Belgian waffle. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was very comfy and we liked the Northwoods motif. Note they are only open 7-2 pm.
