I used to look forward to coming down to the US and going to Jimmy John’s, but after my experience here in Steamboat, Springs Colorado last night, approximately 6 p m, I no longer have any desire to set foot in a Jimmy John’s anywhere in the US.

When I walked in, there was a man and a young lady sitting at a table. I assumed they had ordered so I stood there and waited for the gentleman behind the counter to acknowledge my presence, which he did not……. Well, not right away, because he had his head in his phone with his back to everyone, thinking we didn’t see him. When he did realize I was also there, he put the phone down abruptly with a disgusted look on his face.He then turned around and started making subs for the two people that were already there ahead of me. I have no clue how long they were there waiting for their subs to be made, but due to the fact he was on his phone for any length of time makes me say they waited longer than they needed to. After he was finished his “very important” text conversation he turned around with a very disgusted look on his face and started making their subs. Still, with zero acknowledgment that I was even in the same building as him. I was extremely hungry, so I’d patiently waited.

He finished the other people’s subs, and they went on their merry way. Then, he came to me and rang up my order. In the meantime, another couple came in after me. When he rang up my order, I saw the number thirty five dollars and some cents flash across the screen. I’m well aware that prices have gone up exponentially in the last couple of years but that seemed very ridiculous. Then, he come up with a price of $18.25 I think it was, for my entire order, which was a small roast beef and cheddar, no tomatoe, a bottle of coke and a potato salad.

” That’s a far cry from the thirty five dollars.I seen on the screen a second ago.” I said to him with a smile and a happy sounding voice.

His reply was very ignorant sounding and rather loud and completely uncalled for when he literally shouted the price out loud. I said, yes, I see that, but it said thirty five dollars prior. As I went and sat down, he took the other people’s order.And made all three subs at the same time. Not sure why he couldn’t have made my sub with the original two people that were in there, but that’s his time management apparently. BUT!!!!!! As he turned around to make the three subs together, yet again, he picked up his phone and farted around on it for at least thirty seconds to a minute. Nope, thirty seconds to a minute is not a lifetime. I get that, but what is a lifetime is you not working in customer service because either you’re going to get fired or your store is going to get closed down because of the lack of customer service, you need to remember in any customer service jobs, whether you’re selling cars, canes, submarine sandwiches or brooms to witches, the people standing in front of you are the ones who are allowing your boss to sign a paycheck to you.

As for the food after picking off the five tomatoes, I took two bites and threw the rest of the sandwich in the garbage due to the fact that the roast beef was as bland as licking dirt off the pavement and there was more lettuce on it than there was sandwich bun.

Ordered delivery and it was freaky fast! They called to inform us that they were out of bottled lemonade which was super courteous. Dined in our 2nd time and it was great. Inside is nice and modern. Where are the napkins though?

Probably the worst Jimmy John’s I’ve ever been to. I don’t think they follow the recipes at all — everything tastes thrown together like we’re at a McDonald’s drive-thru at 2AM. Do not waste your money here.

My wife’s sandwich I had to rebuild. Dry wheat bread and half the ingredients off the sandwich.

Mine was a joke. He forgot the hot peppers, which happens. And he forgot the meat, which has never happened.

We ordered online and when Kris went in, he came from the back room and said: oh I started making the order and got sidetracked.

This owner needs to be fired.

We normally enjoy Jimmy John’s but this one in Steamboat Sorings was terrible. Waited 10 minutes and still no service. The older man who seemed to be the manager was cussing and complaining about every online order he was doing and gave a dirty look to everyone that walked in the door. The other employees were quiet and the atmosphere was tense. Not a happy place so we finally left.

I knew something was wrong when I walked into an empty Jimmy John’s at 5pm. No customers and 1 worker. The management knows there won’t be a dinner rush.

The worker sneezed on/near my food. I ultimately threw the sandwich away and ended up getting something else to eat. After reading the reviews it appears I’m not the only one with a poor experience at this location.

We wanted subs, and we wanted them fast. This would be the last place to go for that. 1 hour with 1 other family ahead of us to get our subs, and they were the worst I have EVER had, order for 3 subs was wrong at the end of it all after the staff asking 4 times what we ordered. When you have a Slogan your company is based on that, Freaky Fast is the opposite of this place. The photo attached is supposed to be a regular size Turkey Tom, you know with lettuce tomatoes etc.

This place has really good deals on their food!. Best food I’ve eaten and super nice customer service especially the young man working today on 06/01/2025 was very kind and made my day. I would recommend eating here to anyone
