Cowboy Coffee in Sunnyvale is such a great spot to hang out and chill! The outdoor setup has a relaxed vibe — perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying some quiet time. I ordered the blueberry matcha and was surprisingly impressed — the mix of creamy blueberry foam with the smooth matcha was absolutely delicious. It’s definitely a fun twist on a classic drink!

The staff was friendly, the drinks came out quickly, and the atmosphere just makes you want to stay a while. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — this place is a hidden gem!

3.5 stars

Located at a stand on some fake grass behind a building, plenty of parking and not sketchy.

Iced Flat White with Blueberry Cold Foam ($5) 3.5/5
Most drinks here come with 2 shots of espresso and it tastes pretty strong but somehow still tasted watered down. The drinks even with the blueberry cold foam is almost not sweet at all at 100% sweetness- I usually ask for 25% sweetness and actually forgot this time.

Guava Croissant ($6) 5/5
This was so good. It isn’t too sweet, there was plenty of guava filling/jam and there might have been a little cream cheese in it but the pastry is flaky on top and chewy on the bottom which is exactly how I like flaky pastries.

Staff (cashier/barista) 5/5
Super nice and accommodating. Flexible to adjust my drink to my liking.

Great coffee, clean and spacious outdoor seating, right next to an open to all small play area. Was a bit crowded when we were there so be prepared for a wait. The menu has quite extensive and they also have some bakery items/scones!

A surprise coffee place that I didn’t expect to be this good. This is an open shop like a pop up shop with some amazing coffee flavors. I got their butterscotch latte which was highly rated and it was amazing. Not too sweet and refreshing. Their service is amicable and quick. It was a bit hard to find as it was located deep among the industry complex but it’s worth the effort.

Cowboy Coffee is a relatively new coffee spot in San Jose. I was really impressed with how friendly the staff were. The lattes they offer are pretty fun and interesting flavors. Kind of a rarity for coffee shops in the South Bay. Plus, they have nice pastries from Voyager.

Highly recommend checking this place out. The only weird thing is that they are located behind a building that makes it a bit tricky to find.

I ordered a matcha latte and it was one of the most AMAZING ones I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back to order this drink again. The staff and service was super friendly, and always nice to be greeted by warm genuine smiles. Caleb especially is just such a nice guy who knows his drinks, ingredients, and you can tell he’s passionate about their product. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is super hyped on social media, so I wanted to check out what it was about. Saturday was a bad day because when I went around 1 PM, the queue was massive. It’s an outdoor cafe with some benches and umbrellas to protect you from the sun. Thankfully, I was able to find a seat. It was a windy day and couple of times, some of the umbrella and things like napkin, just flew away. Although the queue was massive, everybody was patient. The staff was super welcoming and friendly and helpful. Most of the people seemed to be ordering the blueberry Macha, but I just wanted to get a regular latte. I got a guava croissant and a butterscotch latte. The coffee took about 10 minutes to come, but I did not mind. The guava croissant was amazing and probably one of the better croissants I have had. The coffee on the other hand was solid, but I was not wowed by it like other folks. I’m still giving it five stars just because I loved the overall experience. Since it’s an outdoor cafe, you see a bunch of cute puppies and dogs with their owner and I got to pet some. My final thoughts are that this place is a tad bit overhyped given the Long queues but it is a solid coffee place, nonetheless.

This is a cool little outdoor coffee bar serving iced lattes. We got the butterscotch latte with the vanilla and pistachio cream top. They were delicious and I would definitely come back for more sweet lattes!

I would say for those who care, when we went they didn’t have a decaf option, and most of their popular items like the butterscotch latte are pretty sweet (hence delicious lol).

We got our lattes to go but they have seats for anyone wanting to stay and enjoy their beverage there.

What a cute coffee shop for those warmer California days!

Grabbed a drink here a couple weekends ago when we had that unseasonably warm Saturday and it was much needed after all the rain. The vibes were great, parking was plenty, and the employees were really nice.

I got an iced matcha latte with their seasonal pistachio cream foam and I’m glad I did! The matcha was delicious and the pistachio cream was so unique.

My biggest recommendation would be more seating or some beanbag chairs. Something comfy for those days you want to sit and read in the sun! Understandably, it’s a small shop behind the school (?) so it’s not always feasible. Regardless, I would come here again to soak up some sun and caffeine.

Have heard a lot about this place recently. Finally made it and it did NOT disappoint! We got the bluberry and lavender matchas and both were SO GOOD! Perfect balance of matcha and foam, not too sweet or overpowering! Definitely the best matcha i have had so far in bay area. Loved it!
