I have been traveling a lot lately, the Ottawa JIMMY JOHNS blows all others around the country away! The day and later shifts are always greeting customers in a friendly manner. I have not had a bad run in at the Ottawa store in my many years of living here. Well done Ottawa Jimmy John’s!!!! Wonderful job!

I was going to drive home from work back to Joliet and kill myself, but I drove by this Jimmy John’s. Jimmy John’s is always closed whenever I try to eat at one; the last time I think the location in McHenry had just been robbed unfortunately, so they called it a day. The lady on the drive through microphone had a soothing voice like the trauma nurse who helped me stay calm during my MRI and CT scan when I fractured multiple vertebrae in my neck and told me I wasn’t going to be permanently paralyzed, and she asked if I would like my sandwich cut in half. I do like my sandwich cut in half, but I forgot to ask because I’m mentally overwhelmed right now, and honestly I would not have ate at all if I ordered the sandwich and then forgot to ask for it cut in half because I genuinely would’ve felt so stupid and upset at myself that I wouldn’t have been able to wait until I got home to peacefully try to end it. I was helped quickly by a brunette of intimidating beauty with arm tattoos, and another team member brought my sandwich almost immediately afterward to keep the drive through line moving. Everyone smiled even though it’s Saturday and it’s probably busy, and everything about my order was correct. Thank you Jimmy John’s employees of this location, I’m going to try and eat my potato salad and sandwich, drink my Dr Pepper, and not end my life today.
