My wife and I have had great experience eating at Jimmy John’s not only here in Columbus but also in Richmond Virginia. But on January 29th 2026 we had our first bad experience. After eating sandwiches from there. At the 1544 Cassidy ave location. I called to the manager about our experience i was told they never had anyone say they had a problem when ordering the sandwiches we got and that we must of had something else to eat that made us sick , that he would make call and get back to us which he never did, we are disappointed in the whole situation

I asked before I ordered: “Can I get just vinegar on a sandwich?” and they said yes. I said great, I always ask first because some locations refuse, thank you. They say “no problem”. But then when they make the sandwich they put oil. I didn’t ask for oil, I didn’t want oil with a tiny bit of vinegar in it, I wanted JUST vinegar and that is why I asked ahead of time, politely, and clearly. They asked “do you want us to remake it without?”. No, but that one is fine if you just add a little vinegar without oil for me. “No, sorry, we can’t do that”.

Come on, it’s not that hard, the vinegar is RIGHT THERE on the shelf behind you, that’s why I asked clearly BEFORE I ORDERED, for “JUST vinegar”

Why do you make it hard/refuse for no good reason? It was a small simple request and I asked nicely. What’s wrong with people these days? Why can’t you just be a tiny bit flexible, just say yes, and we can all have a nice day?

Don’t you hate ordering online, and getting a pickup time. Arriving at said pickup time. To still have to wait for food to be prepared. At a location with zero customers in the lobby?? Does that make sense?!? For the standing around employees to say they just received the ticket. Which would be an impossibility because the ticket printer is visible, posted right above the sandwich station. So its entirely impossible for you to just now receive ticket because I can literally see the ticket already up there. Plus the ticket has a timestamp. This location sucks so bad. For a restaurant to actually advertise how fast they are, and to still have to wait. Is unbelievably bad freaky service. I’m out. Won’t be back!!! Subs aren’t even that good!!

Unsanitary and rude; When I entered the restaurant, I was the only customer there. 2 women working said nothing to me. Finally they took my order. I noticed one woman (braided black and red hair) was cutting meat and eating some pieces of the meat while stacking the rest, unsanitary. The other person made my sandwich while she was also taking pieces of the meat and eating it. When finished she put the sandwich on the counter, walked away and said absolutely nothing to me. I asked if this was mine and she said well you’re the only one in here. No thank you, no apology, nothing. I didn’t feel comfortable eating that sandwich since she had been openly eating while making it, so I left it on the floor for them to pick up. These 2 women should not be employed anywhere, especially the food service industry and I will not eat at Jimmy Johns again.

So no matter how good of a sandwich you make, which you didn’t, if you screw up delivering it…ruins the whole thing. Not only did you not read the instructions correctly for what I ordered by obviously getting it wrong, but then you deliver it to the hotel lobby, dump the bag and drink on the table and TAKE OFF without every calling me, notifying the front desk for me, or emailing me. Your delivery person literally left it on a table somewhere upfront and left. If I had not seen it just by chance… Why bother with your restaurant when this is kinda how you treat your customers.

If I could give a 10 for service I sure would. The crew at 4PM today were friendly, kind, motivated, and made eating in a pleasure! Some of the nicest customer service I’ve experienced.

They have great subs, but I always feel like their buns are too large! Too much bread not enough fillings. That said, they have good fresh ingredients, and always taste great. Had the regular Italian on this visit, and was very satisfied … a nice variety of meats, and good topings. Got their pickle as the side, and made for a good dinner.
