I love Jimmy John’s. I was so excited about them opening it in Byron so I gave it some time to run. Ok so for the first time on 11/5/25 around 5 pm I decided to visit it. We got there and walked in I was like this place is small( table room). So I went to the register to order while I was standing there, I noticed the guy making the food had long hair. While standing there I noticed every time he bent over his hair would go on or inside of the sandwich! Well we left. I called the main office the next day and told them about it, they said they would get in touch with with the owner of that location. I told the main office that I would give them a little time to get it straightened out before I posted this. So on November 13 today, I decided to revisit the location and see if the issue was fixed. Well, I’m here to tell you it was not fixed. same person took some bread out of the oven bent over and put it in a holding rack and this hair went all over the bread. Come to find out I think he’s a manager. I will not revisit this location. I’m adding a photo of Hair, but not the guy‘s face

I have visited this location 4/5 times. 1 drive-thru visit and the rest were inside orders. Each time my food was prepared quickly and correctly. I already considered myself a jimmy johns fan but the toasted sandwiches are the best you can get and especially for the price. If I knew the owner I would tell them to stop using so much meat- can’t be good on the owners wallet but damn is it good on my sandwich. Best you can get at a very competitive price. Will return frequently.

Ordered 2 sandwiches. First one wasn’t toasted like I asked I ordered the #7 which comes toasted. It did not come with the peppers didn’t taste any oil and vinegar, if you’re out let me know it’s easy to change my order don’t just throw it together and call it my order. The other sandwich I got the avocado spread was very minimal and brown. The employees were polite I just wanted to leavethat. Unfortunately didn’t realize the errors till I got home to enjoy what was created.

I love Jimmy John’s, I was so excited to try this location out. Finally a good sandwich shop in Byron! A Halloween night in with some spooky movies and not having to cook sounded amazing . Unfortunately, they took our order and after paying said it would be 40 minutes because they ran out of bread. I don’t know how the bread situation works or how long it takes to make more bread, but this is a sandwich shop, and that requires bread. Maybe next time

Here is the reason why I voted this Jimmy John’s – Byron location one star.
Some of the staff members especially the employees taking customers/guest orders needs to listen to the customers before getting frustrated when a customer ask for a certain way a food order needs to be made. The line makers who makes the sandwiches for the customers needs to slow down, work together and not rush. It took my order four different tries to eventually get it right.
Some of the staff members were getting upset when the other members of the staff because of how the staff were preparing the sandwiches for the staff and giving the wrong sandwiches to the wrong customers.
Some of the customers behind me this afternoon got tired of waiting in line because the staff upfront taking the orders kept having to ask how to ring up how I wanted my food order made (didn’t go very well).
The food quality and taste of the food especially the tuna, cheese and tomatoes didn’t taste very well as it made my mother sick. (Yes I tried calling to speak to a member of management but no such luck! I kept getting a voice mail or message box full).
My chicken wrap wasn’t anything special to write great things about. The chicken wasn’t cooked very well it tasted awful!. The food preparers put too much sauce on it and over did it with the tomatoes. Who wants to taste nothing but heavy sauce and a lot of tomatoes? I know I don’t!
Would I recommend this Jimmy John’s location in Byron? I would really have to think about it.

I ordered potato salad and discovered that it had expired two days earlier. The girl at the front counter was talking on her cell phone the whole time I was there. Not impressed with this location at all.
