Wow….now that’s what I’m talking about! This is old school Florida BBQ at its finest….felt like like I stepped back in time…but in a good way. Chopped pork sandwich was great…very finely chopped and sauced perfectly. Free pickles were a great touch…..I also liked the potato salad a lot and hush puppies. Homemade apple pie with ice cream was excellent. Service was great and it was clean (don’t let the old building scare you). The only thing i didn’t care for… and it’s just a personal taste was the cole slaw which was mustard based. The extra bottle of BBQ sauce has a good flavor, just very thin consistency….but again it tasted good. Nice big cups of soda with free refills too. You can see why this business has been around since 1964. Cant wait to come back!

I had never been here before, my grandmother came here in the 70’s, and the food is as good as she remembers. It has aged well. I ordered the 5 rib plate /w/ two sides; green beans and coleslaw. The coleslaw is finely shredded and slightly sweet, and the green beans have good flavoring. The ribs are so tender and fall off the bone you could eat them without teeth if you so desired. Nisha our waitress had great reccomendations and provided good service. The team here is friendly and hospitable. Will definately be back. 🙂

First time in a long time. Life-long Lakeland resident. Used to quite a bit back in the 80s/90s with grandparents and parents. Food and service are still just as great as I remember. Complimentary sliced pickles are a pickle lovers dream ✨️ I’m not a huge fan of the coleslaw, not as sweet as I like; but that’s my opinion. Ribs fell off the bone and delicious. Add the amazing sauce, and it was even better. Potato salad tastes homemade Sweet tea is southern sweet. Also, I had a slice of apple pie ala mode fantastic!!

I hate to give Jimbos anything but a 5 star review, but as two Lakeland natives who have consistently ate here our entire lives, what is happening to the consistency?! The last few times we have ordered ribs, they have been extremely dry, even when I order center cut. Tonight, the potato salad was hard chunks and minimal flavor. I am putting this review out there to bring awareness to management, because Jimbos has our heart!

Great food and GREAT prices! I have had a lot of local BBQ pulled pork from local food trucks, but this PP sandwich was the best I’ve had locally! Mac n cheese was great too. Drinks are huge. It is a great place to get a good bite to eat on a budget.

What a historic, local place with really great food! We had the three meat platter with ribs, chicken and smoked sausage. Absolutely some of the best BBQ we have had, especially the RIBS! The hush puppies and onion rings were also amazing. The service was fast, friendly and made great recommendations. We are already talking about our next meal at Jimbo’s, we will definitely go back!

We decided on BBQ for Christmas and the food was amazing. We had pulled chicken, sliced pork, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad which was very good. And of course can’t forget the hushpuppies or pickles! We have been going their for years, and the food has always been excellent!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve heard great things about this place and found myself in Lakeland for work and decided to see for myself if it was as good as people were saying. I was not disappointed. We had ribs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and the apple pie. All of it was fantastic. Just the right level of smoke. Ribs were super tender and falling off the bone and the Mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!!

We’ve used Jimbo’s for our annual Christmas Party twice now, and we will never consider using anyone else. The food is absolutely incredible—every single year, people can’t stop talking about how delicious it is. Beyond the food, they are an absolute dream to work with.
