Our first visit here was during COVID, so I am not sure what their dining area(s) normally look like, but as of right now it appears that they offer takeout only.
As far as BBQ sauce options, they don’t have many, but the two we chose were good. We got two different meals and then split them between the two of us so we could try both the brisket and the ribs. Both meal came with two sides so we each picked the two we wanted most and then sampled what the other person chose. That was plenty for dinner and one of us got some lunch the next day with what little was leftover! The sides we got were all very good. Mac-N-Cheese, Green beans, Smokey Baked beans, and Coleslaw.
Their restroom was small but clean. Staff was friendly. Only downside that I could say for this place is their parking lot is VERY SMALL and the lane to get back to it is no wider than a narrow driveway that is only big enough for 1 car at a time… and that is for both people coming and going… They have one spot in the front of the building to park in, which is really only big enough for a small car and when we were leaving with our food there was a huge SUV parked there making our exit very hard (both getting out of the parking lot and visually being able to see oncoming traffic). This aside, we will be back for sure! I never really realized that this gem was so close to home and I love BBQ so it’s good to know we have a spot we can order from and not have to drive too far to get it.
Friendly service, and order was accurate. Order was ready quickly. My husband ordered brisket and sausage, he said it was pretty good. My son ordered the pulled pork combo with baked beans and mac n cheese and loved it, my other son got the kids pulled pork and mac n cheese and said it was so yummy! I got the rib tips with slaw and potato salad. When I get rib tips, I always find myself comparing them with King Rib… Jimbo’s rib tips are meatier, but also fattier than King Rib… they do have good flavor though. The potato salad was really good and the cornbread was SO delicious. The sauces were pretty good too! I preferred the Kansas City sauce, Texas was a favorite of everyone else. They also have Memphis and Carolina sauce.
Give them a try, they’re food is good and I’d be interested in trying more of their menu items. We were stuffed… good portion sizes!
Parking lot only holds 4 vehicles. Not the best BBQ I have had in the Indianapolis area but I will come back. I had a beef brisket sandwich special and it was good with plenty of options in BBQ sauces but the cost seemed a bit too high for the amount of food I got.
