The ribs were absolutely fantastic. Honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had. The brisket was flavorful and well done, the coleslaw was excellent, and the complimentary cornbread muffins were a great touch. After being on the road for a week and eating every meal out, this was easily the best meal I’d had all week. I even waved over the general manager to tell him so.
I love to cook, so I’m pretty discerning when it comes to food and often find restaurant meals underwhelming. This one exceeded my expectations. My only minor complaint is that it felt a bit pricey, but given today’s economy, that’s probably to be expected. Overall, very impressed and would absolutely stop here again.
The BBQ chicken was juicy, tender, and seasoned all the way through not just on the outside. The sauce was rich, smoky, and slightly sweet without being overpowering. Every bite was flavorful and cooked just right, not dry at all.
The smoked turkey was just as impressive. It was moist, sliced perfectly, and had that deep, slow-smoked flavor that melts in your mouth. You could taste the quality and care in how it was prepared. It wasn’t bland or dry like turkey can sometimes be it was seasoned beautifully and full of flavor.
Pair that with their amazing customer service, and it made the whole experience even better. The staff was so kind, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.
Hands down a 10-star experience. I’ll definitely be back for that BBQ chicken and turkey again!
The deviled eggs were velvety with a subtle smoky undertone. The marbled brisket was packed with flavor, carrying that unmistakable taste only a grill can deliver. Both the collards and mac and cheese were perfectly seasoned—no extra spices needed. The banana pudding struck the perfect balance of flavors and textures.
But what truly stood out was the customer service—absolutely top tier! From the warm greeting at the door to the helpful counter staff and attentive servers, every interaction was amazing. The team worked seamlessly together—you couldn’t even tell who was assigned to which table, and that’s exactly how great service should feel. The management team was equally impressive, with General Manager Matthew making me feel not just like a guest, but like family.
This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. The food will win you over, but the customer service will keep you coming back!
It appears that most of the 5 star reviews are from the soft opening, where they received free food. The to-go portions of the sides were TINY. I forgot to take a photo before throwing the containers in the trash. Imagine an ice cream scooper x 2. Maybe even 1 1/2 scoops spread out, seriously. The smoked wings were okay, didnt care for the flavor. Fries were the best thing and that’s telling. The ranch dipping sauce was half filled as well.
For the price, things shouldn’t be so skimpy and shouldn’t lack flavor – certainly, not be burnt and hard as a rock! If I eat here again it’d be for the brisket or something else. Probably won’t be back. This food looks like fried chicken gizzards.. I ended up throwing the tenders out, what a waste of money.
Auburn location has nothing to worry about. Their mac n cheese is to die for, bread is moist and sweet, meats are juicy and full flavor. Additionally, service is spot on.
Columbus location made me feel robbed. I paid $77.00 for something that feels like fast food. Brisket had no flavor/dry, and not marble like we ordered. Mac and cheese was blend, box mac and cheese taste much better. I ordered pulled chicken and pork. Pork was decent, on the other hand chicken was so blend and dry.
The location has so much potential with the right quality of food. I do not know if visiting the place @2000 made any difference.
In the future, I’ll rather drive 35 minutes and get exactly what I pay for.
And with good reason too. Coming in the door, we were met with smiles and the wonderful, smokey smell of barbecue.
We chose the Loaded Queso with Brisket and Pico de gallo to start. The tortilla chips tasted fresh and were thick. Thank goodness for it because the queso was very loaded with the Brisket! The pico was yummy with it and added a great pop of texture and flavor.
The main course for me was the fried catfish with mac and cheese and the potato salad.
The fried catfish was a decent size. Nothing too different but a great flavor. The mac and cheese was not my style but paired with the Brisket my husband shared with me, it took on a life of its own!
The end all be all for me was the Brisket on my husband’s plate. It was a good sized serving with nice fat to meat ratio. The sauce was great too.
Man, that potato salad! It brought back a flavor profile I’ve not experienced since childhood and I’m thankful to have found a place where I can experience it any time I want.
Hubby got the loaded bbq baker with pork
I got the three fingers with a baked potato and made my own loaded potato with the chicken and white sauce
And the brisket Mac and cheese balls!
