Our belated first time visiting here in person, given that there are additional BBQ places nearby that are great. What a mistake on our part!
Why do I say so?
* My wife loved the BBQ, baked potato and Mac’n-cheese and so did I of the bites she shared with me.
* My catfish sandwich was FABULOUS as well as the coleslaw.
Check out the photos attached – which do NOT do the place justice. (Also note – the cheesy cornbread was so good that we did not even capture what they provided FREE before we devoured most!)
The place on Sandy Plains is nicely decorated and the ambience quite nice.
They even have a patio! We will be back and even order for takeout/delivery!

Jim & Nick’s smoked wings have a nice smoky flavor and good texture, and the brisket sandwich is tasty with well-seasoned meat. Both are enjoyable, but the prices feel a little on the high side for what you get. I also preferred when they had table service—it made the experience feel more relaxed and comfortable. The current setup is fine and gets the job done, but it doesn’t have quite the same atmosphere as before. Overall, the food is solid, but the value and service changes make it feel a bit different than it used to.

Loved the fact that they have a drive thru but multiple times now they have asked me to pull foreword and say they will bring the food to me only to be forgotten. When I finally have to go inside to find my bag sitting on the counter getting cold, they refused to remake the french fries (didn’t even ask for anything else to be reheated.
We tried the brisket here multiple times but the first problem is they don’t cook it long enough to render off the fat properly and make it tender and then they cut it with the grain so you get chewy bites that you need a steak knife to cut.
Save your money and go to any of the other multitudes of BBQ restaurants around. They will be better than this chain location in East Cobb.

Had a great experience here. From the service to the food, everything was great. Their Mac and cheese is truly phenomenal. I highly recommend the brisket as well.

Here’s what I like about this place – it’s comfortable. It’s like a fun community place because every time we’re here we run into people we know. Food and service are consistently good. We always have servers who are fun and personable. They seem to actually enjoy working there and with each other.

Very very disappointed. Haven’t been there in 2 years and was shocked that it was not a sit down restaurant with servers anymore. So we sat at the bar. My wife ordered a glass of white wine (only one choice) only to be told they didn’t have it! Bartender said manager said “it was hard to get”! (Kroger across the street!)
Food is average ( my bbq chicken was good, my wife’s pulled pork was full of fat!) and service is non existent! Doubt they will be there a year from now. Large retail space to be a takeout restaurant!
P.S. Been to other Jim & Nicks in Alabama and they are fantastic!

I love their food at every place I’ve been. The staff are always so friendly, nice, and do a great job. The Manager Dawn is always so warm and welcoming like each customer is like part of the family

It was fine. Way too expensive for the quality food you get in my opinion. Husband got a 3-meat plate and I got a 2-meat plate. We got the same amount of meat, but his was more expensive. I guess you just pay to choose an extra meat?
Anyway, the pork was good, the chicken was meh, the turkey surprisingly was meh, the beef brisket was a slam dunk, though! So yummy. The fries were fine, the mac & cheese was fine, the baked beans were fine. Potato salad was yummy!
So, overall, very fine and/or meh. Again, we got 2 meals and it was $50. No drinks, no desserts. We won’t be back.
The patio was quite lovely, though, and all the workers were super nice.

I have been here a couple times and I would say they can be a hit or miss. This time was definitely more of a miss. We ordered our food, got our drinks and sat down. We visited in December and the restaurant was blasting the AC so much that it was uncomfortable to eat there. We rushed through our meal to get out of the cold. When our food arrived, I would say the majority of our 2 of our meals, the meat was gristle/fat. We ended up sending back a sandwich. When they brought it back, it had less but still had some. In one of our other meals, they ordered coleslaw, which was served warm. Coleslaw should be served cold and therefore it was not consumed. To pay extra to get 2 sides in which one was inedible was not a good look. To pay around $40-50 for this meal…definitely on the expensive side to get mediocre food. I will say though the servers were apologetic, we just still didn’t get “great” food.
UPDATE: I did reach out using the info provided below and they were great! Offered me a voucher to try them again next time I’m in the area. Great customer service!
