Atmosphere is spot on, it’s exactly what you’d expect to see for a ramen shop. Service was kind and accommodated for my taste that was a little off the menu. (I wanted a pork tonkotsu ramen) so they made a side of it for me with my chicken ramen.
The gyoza was probably one of the tastiest I’ve had here on the mainland.
Chicken karaage was spectacular as well.
My only wish was that the chicken ramen broth was a little more flavorful.

I was supposed to travel to Japan in spring of 2020. Needless to say, that trip hasn’t happened yet. I’m so excited to have just found this wonderful little place. From the moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. The sushi was great, the sake was great, and this green tea ice cream was fantastic. Can’t wait to get back.

I have eaten at Jidaiya a few times when I come to Rohnert park and each time their sushi is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and on time. I highly recommend eating here and if you live in the area do not pass them up! They are also affordable and got all of this for $31 after tax and tip. They even stamp the wasabi into a leaf which is a nice aesthetic touch 5⭐️

The worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. Stay clear of this place I ordered a delivery and I honestly should have checked the reviews before placing my order because I would have never ordered. But I really wanted sushi and the photos looked delicious. But you can’t eat good looks this food is foul. The tuna roll is off it taste like rotten fish. I was given imitation crab and I was not aware that was going to be on the roll. On top of that the sushi rice was stale. And now I’m feeling sick. This restaurant is cutting corners with cheap and rotten meat and making money off of it. It’s disgusting and not how you should run a business or treat customers. And seemingly from other low reviews this is a common occurrence.

This place is truly a hidden gem. I never understand why it isn’t packed all the time. The sushi is absolutely fantastic, the selection is excellent, and the prices are great! We go here at least once a week on average. I am SUPER picky when it comes to sushi, being from Vancouver where we had endless access to the freshest seafood. It has taken me a very long time to find a sushi place I love, and Jidaiya is it. It is also local and family run, which is a bonus. Try it… you won’t be sorry!
