What a great place. Friendly staff, and excellent food. I have been here a few times. I used to order food from here when I lived in the neighborhood. Today I went with a lechon asada sandwich with PR rice and started with an alcapurria. Washed it down with a kola champagne. Everything was great and fast. And talk about an absolutely huge menu. You could eat here a year and not have the same thing.

This establishment truly exceeded my expectations; the cuisine was superb. I had the pleasure of trying the mofongo, and it was excellent. The plantains were perfectly prepared and complemented the sauce wonderfully, and the skirt steak was cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the jibarito immensely. We certainly plan to return for another visit.

First time here, and I ordered the Lechón with Mofongo. The Mofongo was okay, but the Lechón, which is pork, was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. I was really excited to try it because the last time I went to PR, I always wanted to try it and didn’t have the chance to. So, I just had a bad experience at this restaurant.

Fantastic meal for a fantastic price. Casual neighborhood joint serving huge portions of PR classics. The lechon was perfect, and my mojito was big and terrific with fresh, fresh mint. Every table was full and carry out line never shrank. It’s not fast food, but it was a reasonable wait time and I found the staff attentive and delightful. Give it a shot! ¡Buen provecho!

Never had a good experience dining in because countless times I went, our family was often forgotten about and they would serve others meanwhile our order hasn’t been taken despite us arriving first, etc. Multiple times. We decided to just order out because we like the food but now even the carry out experience isn’t good. Asked for a side of mayo ketchup and this is all that was given, the yuca fries are squishy as if they were just defrosted and heated for 5min in a microwave, and it felt very abrupt when picking up the order as well and asked if certain things were included.

Delicious! It was like having dinner in Puerto Rico with my family. I enjoyed a lot having that Caribbean cuisine taste while visiting Chicago. Awesome service! Highly recommended!

Food is great but when I ordered the tres leches cake to go at $5.25/piece, you would think they would give you a decent size. What I found after getting home was a disappointment. So maybe not get the cake next time for us.
