I went here with a friend on Tuesday evening, and it was really nice. There are plenty of options on the menu that work for a variety of diets; I’ve only had their breakfast food, which they serve all day, and everything I’ve had so far was great. I bought the Hobo Jack, with comes with a lot of food at a price under $15, which is very great value, especially nowadays. There weren’t many others there at the time, and the service was very good; there weren’t any times where I noticed the wait for the food, and we were able to be seated immediately. The only downside to the visit was that someone was talking on their phone for a while, but I do not consider that to be a fault of the employees or the restaurant.
In terms of the atmosphere, most of the furniture is standard for what you’d expect from a diner, but the walls have unique paintings and there are additional decorations; it both feels like a diner but also unique in its own right.

The steak and omelette were phenomenal! Had an amazing time here today during lunch. Definitely my new favorite diner in the area. Super clean and service was really good too.

Stopped in for an early-morning breakfast during a long road trip. For folks who know and love a classic small town Americana diner, this place is it. No fuss or frills, just good home cooking, big portions, fair prices, and endless coffee refills. I knew I was in a good place when I walked in and saw the local old timers camped out in the red vinyl leather booths discussing politics over mugs of coffee. I ordered two eggs over easy with bacon, home fries, and rye toast for $8 (not including coffee). Everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly; it really scratched that itch of nostalgic childhood breakfasts. The place appears to be family-owned and operated, with even the owner’s teenage kids waiting tables on a Saturday morning. Everyone working was friendly, and the service was prompt. In sum: 10/10 for the food, service, and cozy hometown atmosphere. This is the kind of place that I hope lives forever: simple, delicious food provided by friendly, hardworking folks. My only regret is that I don’t live in town, because I’d definitely become a regular here if I did.

This was our first time eating here. We were in town for business and there was nothing else open. I read the reviews, so we decided to eat here. We won’t be returning. Most diners give you tea, coffee & refills with your breakfast. We were charged separately for our 2 hot teas, which was $6.00. Refills were just hot water and the same bag. The second cup of tea was weak because we had to reuse the bag. If you’re giving free refills on coffee, why can’t you give me another tea bag? You’re charging $3.00 for a cup of tea. We ordered sausage with our omelettes and received one sausage each, which they cut into 4 strips to make it look like more. We were charged $5.50 for two sausages. That’s $2.25 per sausage. I didn’t care for the smokey flavor but my sister liked it. Every diner we’ve been to serves two sausages per order. I’m glad we didn’t ask for bacon, because we probably would have had one strip each cut into 4 pieces. The omelette and potatoes were delicious. Our service was great and he was very nice. For two people we paid $38.90 not including tip. I usually eat breakfast at Bridgewater Diner and Golden Corner in Bound Brook. The most I paid for breakfast for 3 people was $35.00. I feel like we were ripped off. We were better going across the street to Quik Check.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday breakfast at J&G’s Diner. I found this place from a quick Google search and I am so happy that I did. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the bacon was crispy and cooked perfectly, home fries were a nice surprise, the coffee was a pleasant addition to my soul breakfast. I will return and bring others along but maybe not I loved this quiet hidden gem. See you soon

Wife and I have been regulars every weekend for the last three years. Service is quick and friendly; food is consistently excellent and in good portions. Breakfast specials are awesome and come to the table quickly. Recommend highly! Worth the trip if you’re not close.

I’ve been going to this place for years! It is insanely delicious. Not only is it a great breakfast spot but their entrée meals are also right up there with premium restaurant quality. The flavors mixed into some dishes make it a great treat. Try it!!

I cannot believe I’ve never left a review and lived here for almost a decade. This place is amazing. They really should serve brunch on Sundays because the cooks in the back make excellent breakfast. I used to come for their chorizo breakfast burrito. Now, I stop by for their greek omelet & smashed potatoes.

I’ve been ordering from them for maybe 3 years now and the food is always great but today’s lunch is very disappointing. I ordered the chicken parm entree with a side soup and it all tasted off. The chicken parm especially tasted old and left a weird taste in my mouth. Sadly I wasted almost 30 bucks on this meal ordering through uber eats. Hopefully this was a one time occurrence.
