Incredibly delicious meal and wonderful experience. I had the samosas with mint chutney, butter chicken with basmati rice and a mango lassi. Everything was cooked to perfection, the rice was phenomenal, not one broken grain! The level of seasoning and spices were exceptional. Service from Mani & Deep was attentive and superlative!

Came here twice for dinner. Both times, I enjoyed the Palak Paneer, which is the dish I usually order at Indian restaurants. The paneer cheese is a little different from other paneer cheese I’ve had, this is feels more like tofu, but the dish is still very tasty.

Very tasty food just found it odd you have to pay extra to have rice with your main dish ! Service excellent ! I gave food a 4 star cause of small portion of rice and having to pay extra 3€ for it

During our family vacation in December 2025, we visited this Indian restaurant twice – and for good reason: the food was absolutely outstanding, and the staff were exceptionally friendly.
The restaurant may look modest from the outside and is simply furnished, but it is very clean and well-kept inside. The quality of the dishes impressed us: we tried various naan breads, curries, and grilled lamb and chicken dishes – everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and incredibly delicious.
What stood out most was the excellent service and advice. We were even offered a small sample to test the level of spiciness before ordering – a thoughtful touch that made the experience even better!
If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Ponta Delgada, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Had 2 great meals at this Indian Restaurant.

Both were superb. Best pakora we’d had in a very long time. Main dishes had great quality lamb and chicken and were very flavourful.

Staff are excellent and accommodating.

Eaten curry in many different countries; this restaurant was very good.

Some of best Indian food in Sao Miguel if not in Portugal. We were looking for flavor and they delivered! We walked in late, but the staff was more than accommodating, despite the table next to us that was extremely rude.
The staff and owner handled that situation professionally. They personally apologized for their behavior even though they didn’t have to. It was great chatting with the owner and hearing the story behind the restaurant. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try their sister restaurant Tikka and Tonic, but I’m sure it’s delicious as well!

This is a good quality Indian restaurant. Friendly waiters, tasty food. Choices are limited compared to other Indian restaurants I visited in various countries, but what’s on offer is tasty, original and well presented. The decor is basic – you’re not really transported to India, which is a pity. They should put more effort in creating the right atmosphere. Rice and Naan bread are charged for as an extra. I don’t mind if that’s their policy, but in my experience this is always offered in Indian restaurants. Still absolutely worth the visit!

I will only say… This is the BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT in the entire Portugal.
Delicate flavours, great portions, perfect textures, high customer service.
I am delighted with the whole dinning experience.
Extensive vegetarian and vegan food items in the menu.
A bit of a wait during peak hours but totally worth it.

Delicious Indian food with kind & caring staff. English speaking no problem. Great people keep us coming back! They are good at recommending spice levels so you are not surprised and get what you want. Very reasonable prices and good atmosphere with community vibe. Good variety including vegetarian options. We’ve never needed a reservation but tend to come early and in duos so larger parties might want to call ahead.

One of the best Indian meals ever! The food was not only delicious,it had very distinct tastes, some restaurants all the dishes taste similar.
Mani and Deep took such great care of us, lots of smiles. We ordered our dishes hot, and we were not disappointed. Both Deep and Mani checked several times to make sure it wasn’t too hot.
The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless, unlike reviews from another Indian restaurant nearby.

Highly Recommended

Edit: We had dinner last night. Mani and Deep took fantastic care of us. The food was Amazing, not only flavorful but each dish had distinct flavors, so many other places the dishes all taste the same.
So, we loved the service , and taste, we came back tonight. The lamb was even better, they remembered our spice level, and made our night even better.

Thank you Mani and Deep, and the chefs, we will be back next year!
