We had an intimate wedding celebration at Jewel of India restaurant a week ago. I co-ordinated with Rahul (manager) who was very helpful and accommodating. He set up a separate corner of the restaurant for our event and allowed us to decorate the space. We hired a separate company to do a flower wall back drop and Rahul helped us set up an hour before the event. He was also constantly updating me on the day of event about the decorations and other vendor drop offs.
We were given a sample menu first but were given the choice to customize. Based on my research the pricing was very reasonable and the food was amazing. We had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes since we had a mixed group and everyone was raving about the food. We had a couple more guests join us than we originally expected but Rahul was able to accommodate everyone and we were very grateful. We chose the restaurant because we love their food but Rahul and his team went above and beyond to make our special day even more memorable. Thank you Jewel of India for your hospitality, good food and awesome customer service. Thank you Rahul for making our day unforgettable. We had a great time and will definitely be back again.

Jewel of India is a hidden gem! Its seemingly bleak exterior gives way to a vibrant, aesthetically pleasing interior. The immersive yet non-intrusive music sets a relaxing tone, while the food is richly flavorful and savory. Raul and the staff were very welcoming, making the experience feel warm and inviting. It’s an ideal spot for both family gatherings and intimate date nights, I would definitely recommend!

Excellent all around. The food was phenomenal—each dish arrived fresh, and the herbs and spices tasted crisp and vibrant, as if they had just been picked and ground for each entrée.
We ordered the Goan fish, garlic naan, onion kulcha, vegetable korma, chicken korma, and Mongolian chicken. For drinks, we had glasses of Merlot and mango lassi—the lassi was perfectly refreshing and not overly thick.
The timing was impeccable, easily the fastest service I’ve experienced at an Indian restaurant. The staff was attentive, offering service on par with a Michelin-star restaurant: regularly checking in, clearing plates after each course, and doing so without being disruptive.
Soft Indian oldies played in the background at a comfortable volume, setting the mood while still allowing for easy conversation and even creating a gentle sound barrier from other tables.

First time eating at Jewel of India and it was just as good as everyone said it would be. We got the Samosa Chat to start and it was the best one I’ve had. I also got the mint limeade and chicken makhani. The garlic naan was so fluffy and soft! I loved that you can customize the spice level to your liking. We will definitely be back! Happy to have found our go to Indian place near DC.

I cannot praise Rahul enough; his attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to excellence were world-class. He and his staff made sure every guest felt welcomed and every need was met with a smile.
The food was sensational. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the paneer pakoda, gobi manchurian, and chicken kebab, which were all fantastic starters. The main courses — the goat biryani, chicken makhani, and paneer tikka masala — were rich, authentic, and paired perfectly with the zeera rice and garlic naan. We finished the night with refreshing lassi, perfectly brewed chai, and delicious gulab jamun. Rahul and his team even handled serving the cake we had ordered from a local bakery (another gem!) with great care. Every single bite was absolutely delicious.
