Fries are coated which I like, but my wife hates so we had to order a side of onion rings for her. The onion rings are bland.
The burger was good, but my wife’s turkey sandwich had processed turkey on it. She ended up removing most of the meat since the quality wasn’t great.
We have a moderate bar for expectations and while the food delivered 100%, our older gentleman server was certainly not having a good day, which is ok, we don’t always have perfect days.
The walls were stained with soda spills, booths had tears in it, and frankly, it’s a shame because this place really looks like it could be a gem.
The menu overall has various offerings. Tri-tip salad, chicken sando, carrot cake and chocolate coffee ice cream were our orders with a margarita and root beer.
We’d come back again, but would certainly request a different server.
I find myself writing this review to express a huge dissapointment in a meal that I had last night. My wife and I both ordered the Ribeye dinner. Which included a baked potatoe, green beans and rolls. This was a 27.00 dollar meal that would tempt anyones taste buds right?
Upon receiving my meal I was completely taken back by what I saw on my plate. Everything was in order except for the steak. The steak I received was litterally a 1/4 of an inch thick. A Ribeye Steak! My wifes steak was 1/2 inch thick. Now to be fare, I have to explain that I myself was trained under a souschef and prepared meals in a restraunt as an assistant. I also pride myself in having learned how to prepare a steak from a member of the cook staff at Stuart Anderson’s, a destination steak restaurant.
To be honest I was completely surprised and dissapointed. I have experienced breakfast steaks that were thicker and not a Ribeye. This steak and others that my wife has received was very obviously trimmed down to size to save money. A 27.00 dollar ribeye steak is NOT a 1/4″ thick, ever!!
The food at Gabby’s Grill is always typically great food. The salads are to die for and there is all kinds of pasta dishes. We enjoy our waitress. And that I why I didn’t complain.
Im not sure if the owner is aware of this situation with his cuts of meat. I am pretty sure he would want to know. In the meantime enjoy their food and atmosphere. Thanks for this opportunity.
Update 1/23/2026
Went in again and tried the BLT lunch special. And not a care was given! Worst BLT I have ever had. The potato salad was nasty, and this place is falling apart from the inside out. Such a shame, because there is a ton of opportunity here to have a good restaurant, with chilis and tailgaters being an absolute disaster, and the Menu items sound really good they just aren’t. If you just do better you will easily grow!
Thanks for the great dinner experience
All the staff was extremely pleasant and the restaurant had a very steady flow of customers. The atmosphere was really nice.
I probably won’t go back. I really do dislike writing negative reviews, but I always write truthful reviews. I guess they’re redoing the top of the bar, but it was extremely sticky. When I brought it to the attention of Courtney asked her to wipe it down. She could’ve offered to move us to one of their boring booth. She just said that it’s in progress to be fixed. She really didn’t have much of a personality. Although my Ruben was fabulous. The Italian wedding soup was a traditional soup that was produced by one of the food suppliers, very generic. The restaurant itself is extremely boring, looks very tired and needs to face lift.
I JUST CAN’T
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences my family has had, especially at a place we’ve been going to for years.
My dad ordered a burger well done, and it arrived red in the middle. When he brought this to the waitress’s attention, instead of addressing the issue professionally, she insisted it was just the lighting in the restaurant — which was simply not true. The burger was clearly undercooked, and the response felt dismissive and rude.
The other entrée, a hot turkey sandwich, was soggy and unappetizing, adding to the disappointment.
While the food issues were frustrating, the worst part of the experience was the waitress’s attitude. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy completely overshadowed anything else. Long-time customers shouldn’t be treated this way.
Sadly, after years of coming here, this experience was bad enough that we won’t be returning.
