In 1978, Jet’s Pizza® founder Eugene Jetts was about to buy a new home. But on the way there, his passion for pizza took over. Instead, he signed a lease on a space that would become the first Jet’s® location. Along with his brother and partner John, they opened the doors to Jetts Party Shoppe & Pizzeria in Sterling Heights, MI. The pizza world would never be the same. They were about to make history by offering a truly, better pizza. And now, over 40 years later, we’re at the top of the list when it comes to crave and taste. Try an authentic Detroit-Style pizza today. Only at Jet’s®.

First time. “Detroit” style. It was crispy crunchy. Very similar to Pizza Hut. Better than Pizza Hut. The slice was better next day cold. My only complaint is with the thickness of the crust/dough it needed little more cheese and sauce ratio. Two different kinds of pepperoni. It was good. Sauce was good. Semi sweet. The crust and belly is the star of the show here. I’d get again.

Franchise pizzas get no love but Jet’s has good pizza. Not a fan of the Detroit Pizza. It’s like someone approached a sandwich and said “What this sandwich needs is bigger and thicker bread.” The Detroit does have the ability to fill you though its basically a giant crispy crust. My personal go-to is the NY Style with extra sauce (no extra charge) and cajun crust. It’s basically just cajun powder shaken onto the crust (and 1-2 inches into the pizza usually) but it adds an excellent kick. I can eat an entire NY Style in a single sitting, but 3 slices of Detroit are adequate to fill me up. The Thin Crust style pizza is crispy and feels like eating a pizza on a cracker, I would not get again. The hand tossed round is basically a normal pizza and more filling than the NY Style as it is thicker. The pizzas are smaller and more expensive such that I would not order here without a coupon or deal. The wings and salad are very well done. Tried Calzone once and it was not memorable. Overall a good choice for pizza, pick either NY style or Hand Tossed, but use a coupon or deal when you buy, otherwise I’d pick somewhere that offers larger pizzas if you are feeding many people.

I can’t say that this Detroit style is to my liking. However for those who like thick crust, square pies, this should be the place to go. The pizza had the right amount of traditional sauce and a decent amount of pepperoni. Please be aware that large pizza is not really large. The size of this pizza is approximately the same size of 14” round pie.

We had never heard of this place before, but we decided to order a large pepperoni pizza from here and it was quite good. The pepperoni was tasty but came as a bit of a shock, considering the usual Buffalo cup and char style of pepperoni common to the area. The pizza was good, but not particularly noteworthy. The pizza was somewhat soft and was like a more expensive Dominos. But most of us liked it! It was pretty good.

Recent discovery, we went back for more four times in a month! The Detroit style pizza is really tasty, thick and savory. There are a couple of tiny tables if you wish to eat there.

Terrible experience. Ordered pizza—it was horrible. They promised a credit, but when we tried to use it, they said it didn’t exist. The manager literally said he “cannot do anything about it” and refused to help. Completely unprofessional. Won’t be back.

Better than expected. For corporate pizza it’s pretty respectable. Think pizza hut but with more effort. The deep dish had some crispiness to the sides and bottom as you would expect with deep dish. Sauce had some hearty character to it. Pepperoni was wafer thin and was essentially a non-entity. 50% off made it an ok buy. No way I’m paying full price for half a pizza, (remember 241pizza XXX-0241 on Elmwood? Yeah you got two pizzas for the price of one. But each pizza was the size of a coaster. ). Especially considering Matina’s is 2 clicks down the road and produces a superior product.
This is just a counter, so no seating

The hotel I work at had free vouchers for a four corner pizza, so I figured me and my roommates would place a big order and I could use my voucher for the small one. Even if it’s not a hit I got something out of it.

Man was I surprised! The pizza is really good, some of the best in the area. Crust tastes great and the pepperoni is seasoned well, sauce and cheese ratio is perfect. The wings too, the hot wings taste great! They have crunchy sides and fall apart in the center in a very pleasing way.

The guy at the counter was very polite and professional, it was not trouble at all to do an online order and then pay cash. I was able to use my voucher with no problem, and the guy handed my friend with their order a coupon menu too! Great service and food, I was very surprised. The guy in the back was also working diligently and the place was clean. Give it a shot!

I honestly love this place. The pizza is delicious. I was unfamiliar with Detroit style, but I quickly found out it is a type of deep dish. The large pizza is only 8 square slices, but the slices are pretty hefty. The pizza quality is very consistent, and unlike most other places nearby, they are pretty generous with their toppings. It is super easy to order through their website and the staff is always friendly and quick. Compared to most places, their delivery is totally reasonable and they are pretty quick. Jets has become my new go to pizza place. Even though it’s a chain, it is definitely worth checking out!
