I like Jersey Mike’s…..although the location on 1299 Main St. in El Cajon did me wrong this go around. This is what my sandwich looked like when I unwrapped it. Bread was soggy and not cut properly. Food service employees wonder why some people don’t tip, even though I did leave a tip. The part that sucks is I ordered online and I arrived early enough that the sandwiches were still being prepared, so it wasn’t like they sat there waiting while I was late. This was hot off the grill. Step it up Jersey Mike’s!

Service was a little slow, but they were making a bunch of subs for a large catering order. What I did have was delicious. It was a spicy chicken sandwich made with Frank’s Red Hot sauce. Everything was clean and the staff wore gloves. While there I heard an employee coaching another one on the right thickness to cut the lettuce at. So they definitely care about their products. Also it was cool to see them freshly slicing meat and cheese.
