I don’t want to rate this location too low because the people that work here are always amazing, kind, and efficient. My only issue with this location is how dirty it is and how nasty the lettuce looked, we were scared to eat it! I They open at 10 and I got there around 10:30.

Came to pick up my online order today after work my wife had placed online. Walked up to the register and told them my last name and the cashier looked confused I then told her my first name and her and the other two workers stated a couple just came in to pick up my order. I then told them there must be a mistake or someone stole it because I work at the college across the street and my wife works at another school 35 mins away.

I then proceeded to call my wife just in case and ask her if she picked up our order (during this time I could hear the female cashier asking the manager about replacing it and at which point he told her that I’d have to pay AGAIN) my wife told me she of course didn’t pick it up and emailed me the receipt. At that point I showed the manager the receipt for OUR order and I apologized that someone stole it but I never picked it up, at which he replied saying “then someone must have known you were ordering” which at that point pissed me off.

It’s one thing to be annoyed or inconvenienced by the situation, but it’s another thing to INSINUATE I would try to pull something like that for $15-20. They still honored making the STOLEN order but it’s not my job nor my responsibility to figure out how to protect customers’ orders from getting stolen nor should I have to deal with being ACCUSED of something so petty. The three workers behind the counter were kind and courteous and if anything you should make the female working the register the manager and get rid of the manager on the grill or teach him how to treat customers appropriately. I worked retail and fast food so I get being overwhelmed and upset in a kitchen, but I also would never accuse my customer of STEALING or making them feel like they did something wrong when in reality it’s no one’s fault but the thieves. Y’all need to learn to do better. I’ll be sure to spread this story to my co-workers and friends as it’s unprofessional and unacceptable.

I get my subs to take home– it’s a small seating area; just enough to sit & eat your sub. Jersey Mike’s makes really good subs but I find them to be expensive. Their large subs start around $16.00+… A “regular” size (small) is over $8. They also serve a small, which appears to be the size of a hot dog bun but a little wider. A large steak & cheese is close to $20.

The place is very clean. The employees, though young, we’re quite pleasant and knowledgeable. The sandwiches are kinda pricey but they are par with other of the same type of restaurants. The food is very good, we will be going back.

I often come to this location, everyone is pleasant, the food is excellent. However several minutes ago I walked into the store and the young lady, whom I do not know and presume is a very decent person, had a ball of hair rolled up and onto of her approximately 10-to 12 inches high. It was braided and looked unkempt. I’m no scientist but I’m certain microscopic pieces of whatever is trapped in that ball of hair fall directly onto the sandwiches she is making g. No thank you.

First time here and I was not impressed at all. The employees were not helpful at all, kinda rude. I had the turkey cold sub and it was ok. Not for the price. My wife got a club and the bacon was almost all white ( see pic) it made her sick. Should have known it wasn’t going to be good when there was nobody eating there. Oh well, Firehouse has the best subs hands down. Only a couple of blocks past Jersey Mike’s by the way. Very disappointed. Would not recommend Jersey Mike’s.

Don’t mind paying for good food. Just want what I ask for. Customer service was terrible. Was not offered anything but meat and cheese on my sandwich. We got there late but certainly deserved what I paid for. Hickory location.
