A fairly new Jersey Mike’s awaits you at this location in Newark, DE. It’s quiet and somewhat sterile but it’s a chain after all. Service was fast and the restaurant is clean. Food was good and satisfying and as expected. Well satisfy the need for a hoagie or sub depending on whether you’re from PA vs points south.

I was in today to grab my lunch real quick before going back to work, I waited for over 15 minutes before being waited on and then I got a young girl with an attitude. She definitely needs some retraining on her customer service skills. I get they were busy but she acted like I was inconvenience to her. I love the sandwiches here but during your lunch break while on their lunch time proceed with caution.

Good food but spotty customer service. I believe the lady in front of me was given more courtesy than I was. They gave her chips that weren’t displayed, and a bag without a request. Yet my purchases were left on the counter for me to pick up by hand. Never had an issue with this location until today. I was a bit taken back by the experience. I pray they go back to treating every customer equally.

First and last time getting Jersey Mikes. Didn’t know this location existed. Ordered an Italian bowl #13($9.95) with extra bacon ($1.65) & meat($1.85) with a wrap ($9.95) & extra meat($1.85) Total $25.25. I walked in and greeted the lady at the counter. She said nothing. Someone else walked up and greeted me. My food was ready on time. I get to my car and open the bag to find my wrap soggy and the salad sad. If this is what you call a salad bowl then stop selling them. Where’s the lettuce? I call and get attitude saying her and some guy made my salad. Didn’t know it takes 2 people to make a sad salad!! She saw there was barely any lettuce and added “extra”. The bacon isn’t cooked. I expected the bowl to be full of salad. Just do better or quit your job.

Got denied service because the building was out of bread.
Insane to think that a business that is predicated on selling subs is running out of bread, of all things. And that they didn’t think to lock the doors or put up a sign.
Either this place is very mismanaged or they lied to not make the food. I wouldn’t recommend this location.

Placed an online order 30 minutes before my lunch break started. It’s now 35 minutes later and 10 minutes past my order pick up time. They are taking every in person customer ahead of my order and haven’t even started my order. What a joke of a location.
Edit: it’s now been 50 minutes and more order isn’t done.
Update: Attached photo is a buffalo chicken cheese steak I just received from the same location. Im not even sure how someone let this leave the building.

I’ve been ordering from the Grove location for a while now, and have never had a complaint. However, my experience today has made me decide never to return. My cheesesteak was slopped together, there was more cheese and steak on the wrapper than inside the bread. And the bread was stale!!! I’ve never had stale bread from any Jersey Mike’s I’ve gone to around the country. I ask to have my sandwich cut I half, and it wasn’t cut at all. My sandwich was simply inedible, I had to throw it away. You should be ashamed of yourselves given something like that to a customer.
