Jersey Mike’s in Northampton MA is our go-to when hungry – usually for lunch, and often for eat-in. The sandwiches are tasty, great to hold and filled with fresh tasty ingredients. Plenty of parking and close to shopping opportunities.

I hope this review inspires training opportunites to develop service skills, efficiency, and the ability to work in a (typically) fast paced environment.

I came in to try my first hot sandwich (chipotle chicken) and was extremely disappointed in the staff’s service, priorities, and sandwich assembly. When I worked at a sandwich shop (5 years & supervised), customers who were in the store always came before online orders.

Today, I waited ten minutes before asking if my sandwich was ready and the person at the grill had not started the sandwich yet. I have solidarity with workers when there is a rush and a line out the door (usually how it is when I come in), because I’ve totally been there. However, this wasn’t the case… the person at the grill prioritized a 2 online orders and cooking piles of bacon… and continued to do so for 7 more minutes after I asked. I was the only person in the restaurant waiting for something and during my time there, only one person came in to get cold sandwiches. When I got my sandwich it was somehow soggy, floppy, and underwhelming. The individual didn’t take accountability to apologized for how long it took and just basically looked at me like “what? ”

There was no sense or urgency and that was disappointing as a consumer. From a supervisor point of view, I’m even more disappointed as no shift lead/manager encouraged reprioritizing or offered support to the worker after seeing me wait with no one in the restaurant. It felt like the vibe was “you can wait your turn-you’re not important”

If you made it this far, I know I know it’s a millennial Karen moment. But dude, If they can’t crank out one 6” sandwich in 17 minutes they surely can’t crank that soulja boy at the block party. And honestly, maybe that’s the real issue here. 😉 jk

P.S. the second online order wasn’t picked up while I was eating my sandwich.

Went to Jersey Mike’s in Northampton for the first time to grab lunch for my boyfriend, who had been working all night and into the morning. I ordered a steak and cheese and very clearly said NO onions or peppers ..even put it in the special instructions. I grab the sub, go back to my car, unwrap it to double-check, and it’s full of tiny onions. On top of that, the bread was completely soggy. I had to pick onions out just to see how bad it was. I went back inside to have it remade, and let me be clear, my boyfriend is allergic to onions. The men behind the counter were incredibly kind and understanding, and this was not their fault at all. Huge props to them. But the woman? Absolutely awful. As soon as she was told it needed to be remade, she started scoffing and making comments under her breath. The attitude was unreal. I’m sorry, but if you’re getting paid $15–$17 an hour, the bare minimum is not messing up a simple sandwich and then catching an attitude when it’s corrected..especially when it’s about an allergy. The guys were great, but that woman completely ruined the experience. This is exactly why the Hadley location is better. Won’t be coming back to Northampton anytime soon.

I heard Jersey Mikes was in Northampton from a friend of mine and I was meeting PAM who does my hair in East Hampton and I sent her a message and said hey let me bring you lunch Jersey Mikes she ordered and then I decided I would have one and I added to her order and when I left, they were so busy That I just paid my bill took the two grinders to meet up with PAM at 1:00 I realized I was not charged for one of them and I called them today to settle up the girl that answered the phone says let me get you the manager Jon Michael got on the phone a little surprised that I was honest enough to pay for this meal And he said enjoy it on the house. Thank you so much. I’ll be back.

I am very disappointed in my experience here. I ordered:
#7- turkey and provolone
-mikes way
-mayo
-tomatoes
-banana peppers
-pickles
-extra pepper relish
I then drove 35 minutes because this location is the closest to me. When I got home I opened my sub and it is bread, turkey, cheese and lettuce. There were no toppings, no sauces. It was so dry that I couldn’t eat it and ended up cooking myself dinner instead.

I like this place; it’s a friendly place with people who are very kind and always make you feel good. The only thing is that I personally don’t like the peppers that they use and the onion for the Phyllis steak and the chicken. But everything else is ok.

The team from Jersey Mikes were super generous and hospitable to our guests at our annual golf outing, over 120 of them, providing subs to the golfers on the tee box of hole 5. The golfers did not go home hungry and loved the surprise. Thanks!

Edit to add: The owner was very kind and offered us free subs and cookies. So we went back and everything was 100 times better! There were different employees working today and everyone was friendly. The subs were delicious!!! And the cookies were baked perfectly! We will definitely be back!

This location is very disappointing. I got half the amount of cheese I usually get on my veggie sub compared to other locations. The cheese was sliced paper thin. My sub was also mostly lettuce, barely any of the other veggies. My husband’s sub has so much oil and vinegar on it, the bread is soggy. The cookies were also over baked. And an employee from the back was glaring at my husband the entire time he was ordering. It made my husband uncomfortable.
