The staff in the store deserve a raise for sure because your management sucks. Understandably, this is a low-paying job, and you don’t always get what you pay for. However, when you’re out of bread and the customer is within earshot. You should probably not tell them, “give them this bread, they won’t notice.” I never checked my order before leaving the store. As a matter of fact, I never check my order leaving a Jersey Mike’s, but today I made sure I did. Yes, the order was wrong, but it’s a pretty easy fix, even if you don’t have bread. Give the customer a refund.

The lead certainly had a lot of customer service skills and called his boss, Samantha, to try to see what he could do. I got to buy one get one free, half subs coupon, coupons, and the assurance that I’ll get a call to get a refund. The next day, after 5 o’clock, there was no manager again, so a different lead called. Samantha threw the previous day’s lead under the bus, saying, “I didn’t hear anything about that. Give him two coupons. Tell him I’ll call him back.”

Day three: Still no phone call, and the good customer service lead from the first day got a smug attitude about that: “We don’t need to call you back for a refund; it will just go on your card.” Well, you don’t know the name on the card because I gave you my contact info, not the card info. So are we just going to give someone a refund randomly or hope they’ll give up?

When little things like this happen, bigger things come to light, like lines out the door, a constant onslaught of online orders, and overworked staff who are giving it their all.

On the flipside, a manager hasn’t been there in two days—no one’s ordering properly or seeing that you run out of bread after 5 PM. The floor behind the counter is atrocious, which I’ve never looked at because I’ve always gotten good service and assumed it was clean. But wait, there’s more. The back walls are cluttered with random things and bags of chips. Staff are gloving up without washing their hands, handling receipts, and punching in the computer. Some staff want to get swollen up when a customer complains about a sandwich that might be their last $17 in their account.

I want to say that you could do better, but this is just a franchise that corporate doesn’t want to deal with. Local ownership just wants to get paid. I wish I had remembered that I could put a picture up here because you could make a sandwich off the floor with all the ingredients dropped on it for three nights in a row.

To the social media team that answers these reviews. I dare you to use something other than a cut and paste for the last few because frankly, I will leave this up until I get a refund and until this store at this location is up to the same quality as the other area, Jersey Mike locations.

Video cameras and a quick phone call do not replace on-site LEADERSHIP and management

I have been eating out at many Jersey Mike’s coming from the south to here. Stumbled across the Burke location on my way to pick up my daughter from school and it was one of the best experiences i’ve had at the VA Mike’s. the staff was already up front and greeting me. they seem to pair up nicely. I asked for their manager on shift to compliment and a little girl came out with a quick anecdote on how long she’s been doing it while another young man made my cheesesteak. delicious! no chunks or uncooked meat i was blown away with how fresh product was

Really really fabulous. Laura made me a steak and cheese add mushrooms and fresh tomatoes. The best sandwich I’ve had in 55 years that’s right also I met Ethan today and he’s awesome and I meant Jeff. Excited, even though there’s a shop closer to my house on Old Keen Mill Road I’m only gonna And I’m in Burk, Virginia after Jersey Mike’s I call it But it’s Jersey Mike’s. Everything was wonderful. Try them out, especially if you’re going to Navy federal, it’s on the way.

usually all teen lead work places are a mess but i’m happy to say this wasn’t my experience at this Jersey Mike’s location. i always see the same two or three teens working, i volunteer for an organization that the teenage girl running the place helps donate sandwiches to. whoever is training these kids is doing good. they have much energy and are FAST i haven’t seen any one waiting around for more than maybe a few minutes. much better improvement over the past few months keep it going

Definitely not the best jersey Mike’s. Every order something is amiss either they didn’t follow instructions, left ingredients out, forgot whole items, really hard bread, built the sandwich badly and wrapped it falling apart, etc. I usually do delivery orders but went in the last time and it looked like a food bomb went off. A mess everywhere. I’m sure they get busy as heck, but they need to find time to clean. I like jersey Mike’s gimmick of slicing the meat to order but it has to be a lot to deal with when they are slammed

I visited this location on 7/23 and again on 7/30 and ordered the “Sub in a Tub” both times. On each visit there were no forks available. Today I ended up walking to Giant next door and buying a pack of forks for $2 just so I could eat my food. It’s unclear why the manager hasn’t kept a small stash of utensils for customers who opt for the tub instead of bread.

Both times I noticed the floors behind the counter were dirty and the bathroom was filthy. Today they were out of cookies but didn’t inform me until after I had already paid. They offered a brownie instead which was fine.

The girl working behind the counter today was polite. She seemed to have minimal help from the person working with her during each visit. Unfortunately the overall experience has been consistently disappointing and management needs to step it up.

My experience at Jersey Mikes was unbelievable The employee on the grill does not look like she’s happy to be there. The place looks disgusting. Everything was a mess. And on top of that nothing looks like it’s an order. What is going on Jersey Mikes? I don’t even wanna bring my child anymore here. There was breadcrumbs, sliced up meat everywhere on the counter. The old general managers were so much better and cleaner. I understand they are young so they have much to learn, but this new general manager needs to step up or step down plain and simple I expect to return to Jersey Mikes soon just to give you guys a heads up. Hopefully everything looks better. But if not, you might as well just shut the place down. Nobody said hi. Nobody looks like they’re happy. Everyone looks mad. It’s such a shame, especially because Jersey Mikes is a neighborhood store. Very disappointing. Customer was waiting more than 40 minutes for the sub. No one‘s communicating. There was one guy just standing there. Not pitching into help. I remember when the old general managers were there. The guy who cashes the people out goes in immediately, helps his worker but no he didn’t there’s no teamwork straight disappointing DO BETTER !!!

My tuna sandwich was tasteless. The person who prepared it was pleasant. Then another employee came out from the back, was annoyed about something and complained to her co-worker the whole time I was there. Right in front of me. I asked if they cut the giant sandwich in quarters and the complainer said yes. When I unwrapped it at home, she only cut the top half. I tipped them, told them I tipped them and got under their breath “thank yous.” They just lost one customer.
