DISGUSTING. Are health inspectors not a thing in Lansing? If so, this place would be shut down instantly in my opinion. Rotting food spilled on the floor looked like it had been there for days. A large pile of browned rotted lettuce in a heaping pile of putrid slime on the counter where our food is prepared. Just sitting there, rotten to the point it was turning black. I even said to the employee “You’re not going to have my food touch the same surface as this disgusting rotted food, are you?!” He mumbled something like “I’m supposed to clean it off” before taking a blade, pushing the rotten lettuce off the counter, but leaving the entire puddle of slime, not cleaning it at all – AND THEN PLACED MY WHOLE SANDWICH RIGHT ON TOP OF THE PUDDLE OF SLIME. Mind you there was another prep area right next to that where he could have placed my food, but put it in the puddle of slime anyway. It was shocking. And I LOVE Jersey Giants. I eat at the ones in Mason and Okemos at least once a week. It’s my fav sandwich shop in Michigan and I’ve written glowing reviews for those locations, but my god, this place was filthy and disgusting. I would never eat at this location unless I intentionally wanted food poisoning. The ones in Mason and Okemos are great tho.

I used to live on the Lansing area and LOVE Jersey Giant subs. Every time I travel near Lansing, 2-3 times a year, I stop at one of the locations. I took the family to the Jolly Rd location yesterday after my daughter’s soccer game. We arrived at 5:40 pm and ordered 3 subs. Everyone who eats at Jerseys Giant Subs knows what to expect, you aren’t getting much meat but the bread is amazing and topped correctly, the sub is simply one of the best anywhere. The lady cutting the meat was in such a hurry, the first piece of meat, no matter what it was, got destroyed or even didn’t get cut at all. This happens when the slicer is set at such a thin slice, but people with a brain just cut another slice. Frustrated, I didn’t say anything. Then, it came time for the toppings. The turkey sub, for the kids, was plain with cheese and Turkey only. My wife and mine were supposed to have lettuce, tomato and onions, as well as mayo and the dressing. After the lady barely put any lettuce on either sub, very very light onion on the subs, I asked for more onions. She said, “This is all I got, we close in 20 minutes.” I asked if they really close at 6 on a Saturday, she said Yup. We sat down and my kids refused to eat their sub because the lady got mustard all over their sub when cutting it with a dirty knife and pieces of lettuce all over the turkey because of the messy counter. My wife choked down 1/4th of her sub. I paid over 14 dollars for my dry sub, I ate the whole thing. Last time I will be at this location. Owners need to realize, your subs are not cheap. You can at least do your best to ensure quality.

This is one of the only Jersey Giant in the surrounding greater Lansing area that still serves the ORIGINAL Jersey Giant bread. They do advertise it in their front window as well.
Went here with a group of co-workers for lunch. Always have been a huge fan of Jersey Giant and was severely disappointed when most of them went away from their old bread deliveries and started baking their own. It just wasn’t the same and I stopped going. However, a good friend of mine told me about this one and I’ll never go to another location but this one.
Walked in, got order taken immediately, two women working behind the counter were friendly and on top of it. (I asked the young lady if this was the last location still serving the right bread and she informed me there are x3 locations, here, Perry and Williamston). They also have a good deal that gives medical personnel 10% off any order.
I’ll definitely be back, thank you guys for staying true to the brand name!

Terrible customer service, rude and seemed annoyed to have to do their jobs. Customers coming in behind us weren’t greeted. Couldn’t wrap subs without destroying them. Long time customers, hoping next time there’s better service.

The ratio of meat & cheese to bread is off, I got a $12 signature 16in Jersey Giant sandwich (Ham, Capacola, Salami & Cheese) assuming I’d share. It wasn’t enough meat. Quality ingredients, but not worth it.

I love gersey giant and I was letting my fiance try them for the second time and we both shared a 26inch roast beef and turkey sub with lettuce tomatoes mayo mustard onions olives sweet peppers and vinegar and oil. Since purchasing the sub yesturday around 3pm we have been throwing up and both have the runs really bad with chills ligthheadness and mild fevers. I know it came from the the sub bought here because it was the last and only thing we ate for the day.

I love this chain and am overall pretty happy with this location. Overall my biggest complaint is that it just looks worn down. The owners need to invest some money into a deep cleaning, paint job, and updating some equipment and this place would be great. Nice, friendly employees, which is of course a big benefit.
