The food was bland and needed plenty of salt and pepper. The meals weren’t overly pricey, and were satisfying. The waitress forgot my silverware, and the tartar sauce. It is quiet, and down home comfortable. I ordered the fish dinner, and the fried shrimp dinner with fried okra and green beans with breadstick (tiny) for the fish, and the cabbage and coleslaw with Texas toast (regular bread) for the shrimp. The fish had 2 pieces while the shrimp had 18 count. Over all, if you’re looking for a decent meal in a quaint setting this is a nice place.

All in all their breakfast is good, with the exception of the grits. We have tried 3 times with an order of grits and each time all of us had to dump them due to the salt. I love salt and actually eat too much of it, so if I say it’s too salty then you know it is. I questioned the manager and she said they go by the recipe from the corporate office. I wish they would not salt them and let us decide how much salt we use.

Went for breakfast. A young man in front of me recommended the breakfast bowl. I took the suggestion with ham, egg, and cheese. I got the combo with hash rounds and a sweet tea. Was delicious. Would definitely eat breakfast there again.

This is a very no frills location. The food is very good. I have to say this is the second time I ate food from this place and the first time I was not impressed. But this time I can honestly say I was very, very pleasantly surprised.
I ordered the fried fish and grilled shrimp, cooked to perfectionNot dried out and was juicy, it came with two sides, and I got the sweet potato casserole, which was so good, I wish I had more. I could have eaten a whole casserole, and the coleslaw which was okay.
When I go back, I know i’m definitely getting that sweet potato.Casserole is a side dish. They also have other side dishes such as mac and cheese fried okra, french fries.
I would say, my overall impression of this place is you’re going to get good food and plenty to eat.

Cheryl and her team at Jerry J’s is absolutely amazing! They have a wide variety of menu items and the food is always delicious. My favorite item is the backyard burger.

Now Jerry J’s this is ridiculous! What have you done with the biscuits? First off, this sausage biscuit is so thin. Where’s the rest of the biscuit? You go up on the food..then you take some of the food away! I’m done..I won’t purchase these again.

When you start with fresh food and cook fresh to order simple southern foods, you dont need flashy gimmick foods. Great fresh hot food, fair price, but sit down style excellent table service.
