Jerrell’s BETR BRGR is one of my favorite go-to burger spots in SoHo.
I love coming here, especially after doing some shopping around SoHo. It’s tucked away on a quieter off street, which makes it a perfect place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a good meal—especially on a sunny New York day. When the weather’s right, this place really hits.
The food is consistently good. Burgers, fries, shakes—whatever you order, it’s solid. I usually go for one of the classic burgers, and it never disappoints. The fries are great, and the shakes are . I had the strawberry shake (really good), and my girlfriend got the pineapple one—I still need to try that next time.
The people working there are always cool, and the service is smooth. One tip: if you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe, I’d avoid coming right when school lets out or during rush hour, especially with the Holland Tunnel traffic nearby. It can get a little loud and hectic around those times. Outside of that, it’s perfect.
Overall, it’s a great SoHo stop for a quality burger and a shake, and I find myself coming back whenever I’m in the area.

My boyfriend and I walked up and were immediately greeted by a knowledgeable and kind employee. He pointed us towards his favorite item (the Lil OG) and our food came out shortly after. The place can only house 6 diners at one time but with the speed of the food service, you don’t have to hang around long. Great food, great service… can we get a location in MD???

Seriously amazing fulfilling burger craving!
You know when you get that craving, “I just want a burger, a hearty cheesy filling burger.” Well, I had that craving today. So I scoped out what I could find and I’m so stoked. I picked up the OG burger here. It hit the spot perfect. Staff was super friendly too, but this burger. Damn

Me and my girlfriend were visiting New York and were in the midst of searching for a vegan burger when Jerrell’s happen to appear!
I’m not vegan myself, but I found this burger quite delicious! (it was nice and cheesy if that’s your thing) Plus the waffle fries and dip were a nice side.
Yes, I guess the seating (being undercover/outside) is probably not the most glamorous, however we were sheltered from the rain, eating a yummy burger, so who can complain?!

Everything is so good! Can’t go wrong. The better burger is great and very thin. Waffle fries DELICIOUS, shakes are good if you like oat milk taste. It’s open super late and well priced
No bathroom

I had one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever eaten here, absolutely delicious, with amazing flavor and texture. The staff were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. The only downside is that there’s no fully air-conditioned space to sit, but you can easily get it as takeaway and enjoy it somewhere breezy nearby. Overall, the food was so, so good. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’ve been meaning to try Jerrell’s BETR BRGR for ages, and finally had a chance during Labor Day Weekend. At this joint it’s all about plant based burgers, which to me has always been counter intuitive. I’ve never been a vegan fan, but I wanted to give it a try. Jerrell’s is a modest place with basically an ordering window and a pickup window. Most people get their food to go, as the seating area is very limited. The menu is very limited also, but I think keeping it simple is good. I ordered the OG (original), along with loaded chili fries., and anxiously waited for my first vegan experience. Everything came pretty quickly and nicely packaged. I elected to have it there while it was hot and fresh. My first bites were surprising. Wait, this is vegan? The cheese, too? Isn’t this supposed to taste like cardboard and leave you hungry and unsatisfied? I have to say the burger was crazy delicious! Ok, you can def tell that you’re not eating beef, but on its own merits it was very tasty. Still a bit suspicious (hey, I’m a native New Yorker, and don’t believe squat), I tried the chili fries. OMG…next level. It was rich, hearty, and all so good. I don’t know how this is possible, but it was among the best I’ve ever had. If this is vegan then I’ve been missing something.
Those two things I had from Jerrell’s were very, very good. Not good ‘for vegan’, but just plain good. We all know the benefits of this type of eating, but I never ventured into that world because I didn’t want to forego flavor. But this place dishes up evidence that eating cleanly can be done without sacrificing taste. Now I want to go to a vegan restaurant and try more.
Strongly recommended especially for non-vegans. It will certainly surprise you, and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did.

Really good vegan burger joint. The meat is almost similar to real meat and the vegan soft serve was really good.
The place was really cosy and there was really friendly staff, the food came quick and it was impeccable.

Straight off the plane and this was the first place I wanted to try in NY. Vegan burger, fries, and a milkshake… oh yea. That burger was delicious, I should’ve gotten a double, seriously (or another burger)! I’m a fry kinda girl and these were cooked to perfection and they were waffle fries! Also got a chocolate milkshake made with oat milk, so so good! This walk up was very effective with service and had a few seating to enjoy your food. Cute and fast with getting the order out. Can’t wait to go back!

Juicy flavorful perfect vegan burger! Best vegan burger I’ve had in NYC— scratched that itch for a classic burger that I’ve been longing for. My only regret was only getting one. Can’t wait to come back!
