I’m not gonna lie I go to a lot of bbq places in Jax and this by far the worst! I went here for the first time on a Saturday March 7 2026 and ordered 2 whole chickens, large baked beans, and 2 corn cobs. The lady at the counter told me it would be a 10 min wait ok. Then, I finally received my order 20 mins later, once I got home I realized I didn’t even get the large baked beans and I was also given a whole chicken and a piece of breast. The chicken was dry as well this place ain’t it never go here worst experience I ever had in bbq!!!!

I just left Jerome’s and this was my first visit to establish. I’m not from the area, but someone recommended this place. I ordered 2 half chickens, a rib snack, because I wanted to try both the chicken and the ribs. My order was taken promptly, but that was all that went good. I ended up waiting an hour for my food and it seemed like worker got an attitude, because I inquired about the status of my order. Furthermore, the chicken was cooked to the right consistency, but had absolutely no seasoning at all. It seemed like it was cooked with no seasoning, slapped barbecue sauce on it and served. I spent $45 dollars and I definitely will not be going back. Very disappointed!

First of all they need help the light skin older lady is VERY RUDE I asked her after seeing several cxs leave how MUCH longer will it be before we recieve our order because the car Parked next to me had been waiting 45mins for a quarter of chicken she cut me off in the middle of my sentence CUT ME OFF said MAM MAM VERY LOUD you don’t know what he had when I did 2 pc of chicken is wild for 45+ mins them 2 little old women need help only for me to get some burnt crunchy no seasoning having ribs they were so tough it’s sad the pig will be my new friends because SERVICE IS EVERYTHING AND CLEARLY GRANDMA AND AUNTIE DONT MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOMED (NOW HIRING) COOKS & CASHIERS IS THE SIGN THEY NEED OR SHUT DOWN UNTIL YOU CAN PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE TO FOLKS NOT ATTITUDE AND RUDE COMMENTS

HORRIBLE group of individuals, they don’t care for people in the front and feel entitled to being able to just stay in the back. The “owner” or whoever the female is acted like she was too good to make people order and when asked for a pickup she said she didn’t like my tone and proceeded to not give me my order. This is why no one supports black businesses . Don’t come here unless you wanna wait and possibly not be served just for the food to taste bland…

Fire the ENTIRE staff and start again. This is by far some of the worst customer service experience I have ever seen on multiple occasions. The wait time is horrible and the staff will beat you getting mad if you even begin to express how long your wait time has been. I had one experience where a stud came to the vehicle to bring the food talking with her hands and was very confrontational because she didn’t like that we had previously came to the window after waiting 45 minutes to as for an update on our food. Another occasion we sat in line for about 20 minutes, got to the window, they took our order, came back 20 minutes later and another person came to the window and said we don’t have enough food to serve you. We barely have enough food to meet the orders we have in front of you. When we asked why that wasn’t communicated instead of taking our order the staff member just stood there like a deer in headlights. Then when we pulled off we seen the car behind us stay and was parked as if they were told to wait for food. The staff is poorly trained, under trained, and just outright has no clue on what effective communication consists of. If you have hours to sit with the possibility of getting no food and they are going to be out of something every time I have came. The food is NOT bad. However, the poor service makes you say it’s not worth it. Apparently whoever owns this place does not care either because the overall reviews that are placed are saying the same thing.. Do better by your patrons Jerrome Brown Barbeque!!!

The food is actually good & The staff is Nice, but MY GOD are they slow. literally you can order your food ahead of time, for example you can order your food before the store even open and they still won’t have your order ready when you get there. I ordered my food at 10:30 this morning on doordash, The outside my food would be ready by 11:35, I get there at 11:40 and my food still wasn’t done. I didn’t get my food until 11:54. again they’re not bad people in the food is good just please be prepared for your food to take forever to get to you.

The service was horrible. They keep asking people when they came in if it was a delivery order then would say thank God when they say no. They all had mean looks on their faces. This one lady with a red bandana was extremely nasty. She would look people up and down with a frown on her face. The service was slow, took forever for someone to take my order, and the food wasn’t even that good.

I take back my 1 star. You can respectfully disagree but it does not change facts. Frowning and asking if a order is a call in and saying oh thank God if the answer is no does not indicate you just trying to prioritize or put in the order appropriately. Also, there was only 3 ladies there, if one of them were the manager I didn’t want to speak with them anyway with the attitude they had. If you stand by the food you served me you’re not standing on much. There are a lot of bad reviews so that speaks volume. I should have just followed the reviews but I wanted to support and give you all a chance. Big mistake! Good luck tho!

I ordered a Thick cut rib sandwich and they literally sent me bones. There was absolutely no meat on them. $17 for bones. They also didnt include the bbq sauce but turns out I didnt need it since there was no ribs to eat. I’ll never order from here again.

These ribs make you wanna slap your momma jk trust when I tell you this they Good off the bone good baby Jerome you did that there!! I DoorDash and was wondering wat was that in the paper wrap and said to myself watever it is it’s definitely gots to be good from the grease on the paper wrap so I made it my business to step in the building today the ladies are amazing as well communication goes a long ways. And we did just that. Thanks it definitely wasn’t a disappointment I was welll satisfied me an my stomach

The food is ok however the light skinned older lady have a VERY NASTY ATTITUDE and I’ve encountered this several time on 12/22 with Jenkins being closed down they should’ve been ready for the crowd but clearly WASNT we ordered 1 FULL slab of ribs and 1 order of corn nuggets it took us 30 mins to reach the window only to be pulled to the parking lot the car over from me WAITED 45 mins for a 1/4 chicken sandwich sad ONLY 2 women working OMG
