BEST Caribbean food around hands down! This is the only place I will order Jamaican food from. The brown stewed chicken, jerk chicken & curry chicken are our favorites. The oxtails are 10/10. The rice and peas are flavorful and you can customize how much gravy you’d like on your rice. The meat falls off the bone in whatever dish you try and has the best flavor. The jerk sauce is to die for. Even the cabbage & plantains are worthy of a mention. The plantains are cooked soft and sticky, basically caramelized, and oh so good. Sometimes they also have homemade desserts in a small display case on the counter. I had a key lime cupcake with cream cheese icing one time that knocked my socks off. The only bad thing about this place is it’s not closer to my house!!!

This place was really clean and inviting. The lady at the front was super sweet.
Cabbage: 1000/10
Plantain: 10/10
Rice: 10/10
Oxtail: 5/10
The oxtail smelt and looked amazing but WAY too much sugar. Better luck next time

I ordered a small curry chicken it was very flavorful and hot. However my boyfriend ordered a small jerk wing plate, and his was absolutely terrible chicken was dry with zero flavor.

Wow!! The Sweet Thing behind the counter was awesome! Great service! And the food? Well, it was drool worthy. When you can’t make it to Jamaica, just stop in. The oxtail (that at first we thought was sold out…but she surprised us!) was so tender and delicious! My husband’s jerk chicken made him say, “I feel like I’m standing at a jerk stand on the island” They also had TING which was a fun surprise.
Go!

Very disappointed. They have pudding rice! The rice was so wet, it’s almost like they cook this rice for old people who have no teeth. The plantains are soggy. I paid $10 for a veggie plate and I should have ate it there to let them know how I really feel. I never will eat here again. I just stopped because I saw the Jamaican flag. This is a real disappointment!! I had to throw this away and run to golden krust.

This place used to be SOOOOO GOOD!! Before the pandemic I would argue it’s some of the best Jamaican food on the Southside but something happened, maybe they switched owners but the food now is HORRIBLE!! It’s ALWAYS lukewarm and you can tell no matter WHAT you order, THE FOOD IS OLD!!! they will lie to your face that’s it’s made the same day but that’s impossible. TRUST!! whatever you eat there is well over 48 hrs old. I hope i don’t get sick.. Look at my lunch for $21.00. I’ll serve it to the dogs

I’ve never had Caribbean food till today but I was missing out! Anytime I’m in the area, I’ll be stopping to get some of their authentic oxtail and jerk chicken

Very, very, very great food! My man and I are visiting from Baltimore and had a taste for some Jamacian food. The ladies are very friendly and the service is QUICK. I ordered a small and have some much left over. The whole time we were eating, customers kept coming in. I love that about a restaurant because that means their food is delicious! Try it, you won’t regret it.

I eat a lot of Jamaican food because it’s good stuff…. but this place knows what they are doing when it comes to cooking and flavor! I had the Chicken jerk plate small with cabbage rice and oxtail gravy medium(thats how much gravy) and plantain . That’s what jerk spice is supposed to be. Chicken was tender cabbage was too! It was all so good this is my new favorite for Jamaican!! I will be back again. On my second round I’m sold on their Ox tails.. Best I’ve had!

Stopped in this little spot for a quick lunch when traveling for business. We were greeted by the sweetest, most welcoming woman with her kind words and big smile.
I had the jerk chicken meal with rice and peas. I chose the white meat chicken which was slightly dry, so I would probably do a mix of white and dark or just dark next time. My coworker had the ox tails meal wish he was kind enough to share. I’ve never had ox tails but would consider them now that I’ve tried them.
I would recommend this place for anything looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine!
