their food is very good, the jerk chicken is my favorite and it has a nice grill taste. my only issue is i wish they would pay close attention to the gravy requests. the food can be dry without gravy and sometimes i receive just one small portion or none at all of the gravy when paying for the addition. they do automatically give you a jerk bbq sauce if you like that, but i prefer the looser brown stew gravy. breaks my heart when there isn’t enough for the food

This has got to be the worst Jamaican food I ever had life. I will say the chicken was definitely smoked and had that grill flavor but “Jerk” was what I ordered & did not have that. It came with a side of bbq sauce. The oxtails were just trash all around. Meriden just doesn’t have good Jamaican food and it’s disappointing

Oh My GOODNESS I ran into their food truck outside my apartment today and really needed a pick me up. They DEFINITELY succeeded in doing just that! Thank you so much for not only serving quality food but portions???? Those were outstanding as well! Normally would have to pay 30+ for a meal this size.

I had the jerk chicken meal with mac instead of cabbage.
The chicken was amazing with the sauce. There was a wonderful smoky flavor with every bite. The rice and beans starchy and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was incredibly creamy as well. Service was quick and the meal was reasonably priced.

It’s a disgrace this place calls themselves “jerk fusion” when there is nothing jerk about their food. Ordered jerk shrimp with rice and peas and was given shrimp with BBQ sauce (doesn’t even taste or look like it was grilled) and oxtail gravy over the rice. I’m white and have been with nothing other than pure Jamaicans and him sed even his mooma make betta food. Don’t even start me on the beef pattie…shit is thinner than the money I used to pay for it. Please stop calling this Jamaican food. Take the extra 30 minutes and drive to Hartford for somewhere like Benjie’s on the Ave.

$28 for an oxtail plate with rice and peas and cabbage. I ordered it a couple times thinking there was a mistake with the price. Oxtails are good its just overly expensive. The rasta pasta is good too. Did not like the jerk chicken.

Nice little place great food. Shared the chicken sandwich and a shrimp sandwich with my father and a beef patty each. Would come back for a bite to try other things. Food tasted great and has a good flavor.

I bought this food and my husband and I got diarrhea and gave them the benefit of the doubt.
I tried again and decided to give me friend half my plate as I don’t eat a lot in a go. She came back today to tell me she had diarrhea and felt so sick. Not to mention I had diarrhea again from this meal. This is completely unacceptable. I am pissed and I want to know if anyone else ever experienced this because if anything happens to my unborn child you’ll see what’s coming

This place has the BEST rasta pasta!!! The staff were super friendly. Their Rasta Pasta is made to order; everything was VERY fresh and seasoned perfectly. I also tried their Jerk Chicken & oxtail and WOW! Oxtail was so tender, literally falling off the bone. Jerk Chicken & sauce was fire! And I love that this spot has the option to add cheese to your beef patty. 10/10, love this spot and will be back!
