There’s jellyfish in the donuts… or that’s the name of the establishment. I feel it’s worth checking because I hear Alaska can be a little odd sometimes.

We checked this place out recently for some unique donuts. We tried the savory (maple bacon), the salmon donut, and an original glaze. My wife also tried the ice mocha. The donuts are pricey ($25 for those 3), but they are large and tasty. The salmon donut has a unique flavor with the sweet and salty. The maple bacon donut was fantastic. Definitely worth checking out.

Must donuts if you are in Alaska!! It is made to order which I like!! Unique flavors too!!

Location: It is located Juneau Alaska. It’s just a bakery with no seating inside. Great display of donuts. You would want to buy everything.

Service: not much interaction, just order on the menu and they made it from their kitchen. I can see that they were just making it when I ordered.

Food: I ordered their famous SALMON DONUT and as weird as it sounds it was good to be honest. It reminded me of salmon cream cheese on a bagel but instead it is on the donut! The donut itself is soft and fried well.

Price rating: 6/10. It was not expensive.

Definitely will come back to try other donut flavors when I come back to Alaska.

We walked into this place by accident, as it was rainy and foggy and wanted some coffee

And you’re surprised by the super bubbly cashier who was very friendly and helpful. Ended up getting a couple fresh donuts… One was a salmon donut which was completely unexpected, and the other one was a peanut butter nutter butter donut.

Great local place that you got to try!

We walked around as our Alaskan cruise stopped here. We found this donut place and tried it. We don’t think it was worth the price nor taste.

We ordered:
– Lavender honey: the lavender scent is definitely strong and present. The honey was sweet but the donut dough was stale and chewy. It just wasn’t fresh. 2/5
– Cookie crumble?: not too sure but it didn’t taste too great either. It felt as if the donut has been sitting there for a while.

Atmosphere and service: cute little place, good amount of tables, average service.

Overall, donut felt stale. It was chewy and sweet. We’re very used to soft, light and fluffy donut dough so this didn’t solve our donut fix. wouldn’t recommend.

It’s a cute local donut shop that originates from Ketchikan. There are currently 2 locations in Alaska. This review is for the Juneau location. It serves unique donuts, dumplings, Korean corn dogs, and fish on a stick. Kind of interesting, right?

There is very limited high top table seating. One will become available if you’re lucky. These are big & beautifully decorated donuts. Some even have a little sparkle in the glaze that makes it look like the shiny bell of a jellyfish. It’s denser than your usual donut. It’s more like a bread. Some say it’s a yeast donut, but I’m pretty sure it’s a brioche one. My husband’s Chocoholic donut may have been fresher than mine. It was a tad lighter than mine. My Strawberry Rhubarb flavor was good, but I kind of wish I had tried the local Spruce Tip Raspberry flavor. They were both extremely sticky. There’s no way to eat it without getting it everywhere. Not a bad thing. We thankfully had wet wipes.

We were both very happy with the mocha latte. It was much needed after walking on the Alpine Loop Trail earlier that morning.

I think they are more known for their savory & salmon donuts. That’s definitely what I’d like to try next time. I’d say it’s worth a visit. The good news is that you’ll see it again in Ketchikan. You might as well try it.

I visited this donut shop while on an Alaskan cruise, and the donuts were fresh, tasty, and served quickly; however, be aware of the pricing—each donut costs around $5, which might be a bit steep for some. Then again, it is Alaska. The shop specializes in yeast-based donuts, not cake-based ones, so if you prefer that lighter, fluffier texture, you’ll enjoy what they have to offer. Overall, it’s a nice treat if you’re willing to splurge a little!

The salmon donut is a MUST. It’s a savory and filling treat. I paired it with a cup of chai, which was perfect for a rainy day. There is an assortment of sweet donuts as well if you’re looking for a quick dessert.

The staff was wonderful and took their time walking through the different options. A lovely experience from start to finish.

Interesting salmon-spread donut. The donuts are not the typical fluffy dough, they’re all made as brioche-like dough, much denser. Def an interesting local place to get your sweets.

We tried the salmon donut and strawberry shortcake and pistachio

I loved the salmon cream cheese donut with the savory sweetness!!

Love their personalized drawing on each box.

We had to wait for a long time but we left without our doughnuts as we needed to get to our tour but when I got back and went to collect our doughnut they gave us some complimentary doughnuts too!

We stopped in to try the salmon donut, just to see what it was all about. It was delicious. The salmon spread the put on the donut was flavored nicely and together it all tasted good. The donuts are the thick yeasty ones so we were able to split the donut between 3 people and we all got a large portion.
