What a hidden gem! Had to wait about 15mins for seating but that’s normal everywhere this time of year with all the snowbirds down.. they are worth the wait. . Greeted by everyone as you are sat.. our server was Kristen” she is the bomb! Kept my coffee cup full .. was cheerful and seemed more like an old friend than our waitress..the servers and a lot of staff were family.. dad his son’s ect …and the dad is part-owner.. love it’s a family thing “” the food was DELICIOUS! The lemon curd pancakes with blueberry compote is yummy ( I could eat a bowl of that stuff!! … I had a nice soft scrambled egg and shredded hash brown.. the egg Benedict looked very Good!! Everything was good and I love the mismatched eclectic dishes… I got to come back for lunch next time and for the HOMEMADE desserts!! Price was comparable with everywhere.. though I’d rather have this place all to myself I got to highly, highly recommend checking them out!

Hidden gem!!! The food was great! The wait to get food after ordering was about 45+ minutes. The place was very busy! Servers were very friendly. We will definitely be back!! The Jelly Bird sandwich was delicious!!!

Ordered the toasted bacon egg and cheese sammich. The melted cheese and perfectly grilled toast… marone! No French vanilla creamer for coffee and no fountain drinks were really the only bust. Couldn’t finish the sammie… should have taken a pic before but here ya go.

We enjoyed our first experience at Jellybird Cafe today. The food was fresh and scratch made. I had an open-faced breakfast sandwich with avocado, bacon, egg, feta, sprouts and radishes. Tasty combination! Hashbrowns were okay, not the best I’ve ever had. My husband had the BLT and said it was excellent. The side of pasta salad was unremarkable. He had a cranberry mimosa, which he enjoyed. I stole a sip and thought it was very bitter, like grapefruit juice. They have good fresh-brewed tea, which is a must for me. There was so much stuff on the menu that looked good, I had a hard time choosing. Next time, I’ll try the biscuits and gravy because they looked very good on our neighbor’s plate.
The cafe itself is in a deep, narrow space in a strip center, so tables are very close together. You can hear all your neighbors’ conversations, which is fine if you’re a gregarious person. I’m more private, so I will ask for one of the center tables next time to get a little more elbow room than we had along the wall tables.
The decor is whimsical and eclectic. Lots of cute modern farmhouse touches throughout, like mismatched Christmas-themed china, salt & pepper shakers, and counter curtains. I would imagine they change out the china and other decor to match the seasons. The tables are beautifully made from solid wood and have a burned Jellybird logo. The long wall bench is scattered with cute throw pillows so you can adjust them to your own comfort level.
The service was adequate, but not amazing. Better attention to seating arrangements would have resulted in shorter wait times for others. For example, there was a dirty 2-top and a dirty 4-top when we arrived. The server cleared the 4-top and sat us, when it would have been more efficient to clear the 2-top for us and then seat the larger party behind us at the 4-top. Not a big deal, just a training opportunity.
Our friends arrived about 30 minutes after us with a large party so we rushed to vacate our table to allow the staff to combine 3 wall tables together to accommodate their group. This is not an ideal venue for large parties, so if you are arriving with a group, expect a longer wait.
Overall, it’s a cute, kitschy cafe with great food and a bustling, crowded atmosphere. Not ideal for introverts or claustrophobes. Very clean throughout. Price point was mid-range. Parking was adequate and easy.

Cool vintage yet fresh, clean vibe. Some wonderful options for breakfast (that’s when we were there) . I also loved the vintage mix and match china and salt pepper sets.

Such a cute little spot in Punta Gorda! Jelly Bird Café has such a cozy vibe and I absolutely loved the décor – every corner feels thoughtfully put together and super welcoming. Came in for brekkie and it did not disappoint – fresh, tasty and exactly the kind of start to the day you hope for. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back again just for the atmosphere alone.

Beautiful breakfast spot in Punta Gorda. We had the special cinnamon roll casserole, the pumpkin brioche French toast, and several bacon sausage gravy bowls. Food was delicious. The coffee (cappuccino and mocha) also to die for. So much foamed milk YUM! Check out this family owned breakfast spot, you won’t regret it. Family friendly seating!

Excellent experience dining, all homemade and the taste was fantastic. Homemade biscuits like my grandmother used to make. Breakfast treats for us were cinnamon sweet roll and a cherry filled croissant all were to die for. My wife had the oatmeal with bananas and I had the eggs and bacon with biscuits. My wife and I highly recommend Jelly Bird Café!!!
