Came from out of town passing through and found this place while searching for a local unique restaurant to stop and have breakfast at. I love small town local charm and this was just the place. The staff was warm and inviting. We ordered our food and in no time we were served and eating. The portions served were huge, but everything was delicious and almost more than we could eat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone my only recommendation and warning is this is a cash-based only business so if you come bring cash, they do not except credit cards or checks.

The smell of cigarettes hit me in the face as I entered. The place was empty and rough around the edges for sure. Old black and white western playing on the TV…Zane Grey I believe. It was fairly cool that day, but a window unit with 100,000 miles on it ran wide open the entire time. You’re so close to the tracks that a train came by and actually blocked the satellite signal for a minute. If only for a second, I was living The Truman Show.
What I did get was a fresh cooked double cheeseburger, fries and a coke for $20 out the door (Thanks Jeff). It might not be for everyone but the food was good and orders kept coming in late on a Friday. I will return because I believe places like this need to continue to exist in small town America. Put aside your prejudices, get over the smoke and sit down.

Jeff & Von’s Place just served me one of the best bacon cheeseburger’s that I have had in a long time. All the way with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard. It was cooked fresh to order. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sweet tea was on point. Perfect meal all the way around. Owners were very friendly and hospitable. Really enjoyed chatting with locals too. Will visit again as I drive through.

Please don’t let the humble appearance fool you! This place. Has got. Some GOOD freaking food! Husband got the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes and slaw (just like my Granny used to make) and I stole some. Then I stole some more. All in between bites of my own GIANT double bacon cheeseburger! I was aggressively happy! Then I ran out of room in my stomach. And that made me sad. Then I remembered I’ll have it for later. Then I was aggressively happy again.
Husband says the chicken makes him think of what the original KFC would have probably tasted like when they first started up and were serving up fresh, seasoned, delicious fried chicken!
I would move out here just to eat at this place every freaking day of my life.

Delicious HOT fresh southern food. The wings are the best ever and they have incredible hospitality. Love this place for sure.
