We aren’t new to Jeff Ruby’s, but tonight was exceptionally good. The greeting at the hostess counter definitely set the tone. I think hands down we had the best server in the building. Jordan was great and really couldn’t say more. His input on options for dinner, desserts, cocktails he didn’t steer my family wrong. The ambiance was great and the food always exceptional. I highly recommend this place for an amazing dinner experience.

Well, we flew out to Ohio for a business meeting this past Monday Oct 6, our 2nd visit Jan 5th 2026. We were guests, and walking into this place, it just was different, like a 30-40’s place, pretty neat. First, I felt underdressed jeans, t-shirt, all good though, but we were there to try things and feast. The food, service was incredible. One thing I will say is the experience, never had the detail and attention the staff had. Our waiter was incredible, on top of his game, funny, awesome sense or humor and super confident on anything he was going to bring us, a notable difference. We have had some great service before, from dedicated waitstaff, but this one left a mark that stood out, a good one. To our good local friends here who brought us out, thank you. What an impressive, location that combines great food, service and atmosphere that is very unique and I mean that in a great, good sense, wow. For me, it’s abit pricey for some items like our Wagyu A5 Sirloin which we tried, they offer some of the rarest steaks. I have to tell you, it was soo good, 1st time in my life I’ve tried this and it was a treat, incredibly delicious and again 100% a treat. Thank you again to the staff there and our new friends. Cheers. Update.. we closed the place last time there, I was able to grab some cool, empty pics. Chet, Dana you rock..!! If you like my review and I’m on point, give it a heart..

What an establishment! The ambiance of this place is equally as important as any dish or drink you’ll enjoy. It simply exudes elegance on every level. At a place like this, every aspect needs to hit and the server added to the incredible experience. We put in all our food choices and it was brought out with perfect cadence as the dinner progressed. Perfection. Every dish was delicious. We started with the Bluefin Tuna Flight and crabcake. It was impeccable. Premier sashimi that justified the price. Even the bread and truffle butter were unbelievable. We then moved to steaks and lobster which were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that that Bernaise sauce on top had started to congeal. For any special occasion, you cannot top Jeff Ruby’s. It’s the most elegant dinner I’ve had in Columbus and is worth all the accolades they have received over the years!

Jeff Ruby is one of the best steakhouses in the country. Every visit is uniformly great. Beautiful space, food is always top notch, our server tonight, Jordan was the best. We started with the complimentary bread with butter and an incredible truffle butter. Next,
our party of four shared appetizers of crab cakes, oyster Rockefeller, and an A5 ribeye. All perfectly prepared. My son and I shared the 70 days aged Cowboy steak for our entrees and apple sorbet and the best crème brûlée in town. We highly recommend Jeff Ruby!

Was in town from Cleveland and just happened to be staying at the hotel across the street so we made reservations for 7. Our table was not ready at 7 so they sat us at the bar until time. They offered us complimentary waiting drink but we politely declined as we wanted to eat before having alcohol. Once our table was ready we ordered drinks and food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu; when he noticed I was only ordering sides he asked if I was vegetarian and I said yes, he then offered to have the kitchen make me a veggie pasta that was not even on the menu! How nice! I politely declined since we had placed our orders already and I didn’t need that much food. While eating the manager came by and asked if everything was good, she was just making her rounds as I saw her go to other tables as well. When she came back she told us she was informed we had to wait for our reservation and apologized profusely. Not once did we complain or seem upset so I thought it was really nice that she took it upon herself to even offer apologies. At the end of our meal we learned the manager comped over 50% of our bill, for our wait. I could not believe it. Incredibly nice thing to do especially since we were not even upset at all. She just WANTED to make it right. Absolutely wonderful service I cannot wait to travel back!!

The food? Absolutely a m a z i n g – truly top shelf. Every bite was perfection. And then came the spectacular desserts… we literally ate a shoe – and it was one of the best things we’ve ever had.

Our first time at Jeff Ruby’s, it was a delicious and elevated experience. Definitely one of the best quality steaks of my life. I ordered the steak Burrow which was blackened and they still managed to nail a perfect medium rare. The steaks were flavorful and tender. Sauces and sides were yummy and the service here is of the highest level, yet not overly stuffy. We enjoyed a cozy early Birthday dinner and we’ll be back to celebrate other special occasions and explore the seafood options.

Our party all had steak of one sort or another and all of it was melt in your mouth goodness. So good I actually was sad when I finished my last bite. One I will dream of.
Big thanks to the staff. I was craving table side Steak Dianne, and even though it wasn’t on the menu, the server didn’t just give us a “no”. He took the initiative to speak with the chef directly to see if they could make it happen. To our surprise, he pulled it off !
It is rare to find a server so willing to go above and beyond to make a guest’s night special.
The chef absolutely nailed the preparation — even better than tableside. The steak was so perfectly seasoned and high quality she said it was one of the best in my life. It is clear the kitchen takes immense pride in their craft, even when working “off-script” .
Capped the evening off with excellently prepared and presented desserts. Truly a memorable experience.
If you want world class meal and staff that truly cares, this is a spot !

We sat at the bar and enjoyed it so much. The wine list was quite impressive. We decided to get a nosh of the mussels with some extra bread. I think this place may not know how to not go over the top. That mushroom truffle butter!
And then we had such a fantastic time with the staff. They were delightful. Olivia and the J’s. One even took some time to write out a list of must do’s in Columbus and other places to not miss.
