Jeepney Stop Homecooked Filipino Food – Restaurant Guru

Filipino cuisine is recommended to taste at this restaurant. The truth is that you will really like nicely cooked lumpia, rolls and pork.

I love this place. The owner is an absolutely sweet person. The cooked food here is great. I love the fried fish with the rice. There is also a good selection of foods and drinks to buy at a reasonable price. My favorites are the Honey and Ginger Tea and the Honey and Citron Tea.

Wonderful place! If you like mom n pop comfort food this is it. It’s a small food store with just 5 tables that happens to have a kitchen with AUTHENTIC Filipino cuisine. Diniguan with gravy over rice is legit. Lumpia is fried fresh to order, 12 for $10. A two entree plate (you pick from what’s cooked for the day) is only $9.99 and I brought home leftovers. I would go back for more and to shop in the store for goodies. You know it’s legit as 99% of all patrons I saw there were Filipino.

First and last time eating here. To start with, we order and tell the lady we’ll be right back, and we were back within the time given to fry the lumpia, onky to find they gave our lumpia to someone who ordered after us. Therefore, we had to wait again!! Pancit was super salty!! It had zero flavor other than salt!! The beef lumpia left us asking where’s the beef, or filling in general. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I’ve been going here for years but recently just moved back to Jacksonville. I went here about a month ago and it was just as good as I remembered. Then I went back about 2 weeks ago and they had a different man cooking the food. It was completely different and my wife and I really didn’t like it. Hopefully they get their old cook back..

I went today for the first time to try the Pancit and lumpia and I must say it was some of the best that I’ve had so far. The Pancit had a really good flavor and the lumpia was perfect! Everything was also made to order, so super fresh. Not only was the food amazing, the owner of the shop was so sweet and you can tell she takes pride in what she does. 10/10 would return again!
