Recommend JED’s Local restaurant in Baton Rouge Louisiana. I tried JED’s several years ago. I remember the food was good and service good. Today, went with a party of 11 and again the food was good. Service by Hannah, was excellent. I tried the strawberry and shrimp salad. Ilthe salad contained pecan bits, homemade croutons, over a bed of lettuce topped with the grilled shrimp and strawberries. Including lemon vinegar dressing. As you can see in the photo it was fresh and the shrimp perfectly sized and of good gulf coast quality. I overheard many in the party comment how wonderful their experience was too. Congratulations JED’s Local.

Gabe and the young man at the bar were absolutely welcoming and amazing!!!! We had crawfish spinach dip, Caesar salad chicken poppy, and shrimp poboy! Everything was 10/10!!!! On and our martinis were SUPERB! I Cant wait to return!

We hosted a private event at Jed’s Local and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The space was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and were so accommodating throughout the entire process.
The food and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how great everything tasted!
If you’re considering Jed’s Local for a private, do it. 10/10 recommend. We will absolutely be back!

I had high hopes for this spot, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. They ran out of several items, and the service staff didn’t seem to be on the same page as the kitchen. The shrimp poboy and shrimp & grits were ok but not quite up to Louisiana standards. (To be fair, I had them hold the bacon on the grits, so that may have changed the flavor.) Overall I don’t have much desire to return.

First all they were out of shrimp and meatballs, which took out several things on the menu that I would have chosen. I chose the chicken salad and asked for it grilled. They obliged. The cook was very engaged with me on how I wanted it cooked. He asked if I wanted it well seasoned, cooked in oil or butter, and if I wanted it dark. Chef was great. However, the chicken was extremely chewy and was taking me time to get through a bite. I took the 3 strips off my plate and ate the salad. When the waitress brought the check, I told her that the chicken was too chewy to eat. She said she would tell the manager. Waitress came a little later and got my card with the original check. I seriously expected something to be taken off the total. The manager was right by me at the register when I received the receipt with nothing taken off. Needless to say I wasn’t happy that nothing was even acknowledged. I left and the manager said have a good day. When I didn’t reapond, she yelled it again as I walked out the door. Will not be returning even though it’s walking distance from my house.

Unable to place orders a day in advance without manager approval. Which is fine in and of itself but when the manager is not there and also takes more than 40 minutes to respond to the staff calling them about it, it’s definitely not set up for business lunches or large gatherings (if you consider 6 to go meals with minimal changes to them a lot). Was made to feel like I was very much in the way and very much causing them stress by trying place an order a day in advance. After waiting almost 40 minutes with no response from the manager I was informed by my own bosses to just leave and we will find another place to spend our money. I have never been there before but I was supremely unimpressed by how I was treated. POST RUSH 2:00pm with 3 tables in house checking out and one man at the bar…

Absolutely massive portions and more importantly, GLUTEN FREE options galore with staff that actually understands cross contamination! I am stuffed and I was sooooo happy to have such amazing options for the first time in over a decade! A new favorite place for me and I’ll be telling all my friends

Look at the ridiculous size of that poboy sandwich. It was so big that my teenage daughter could only eat half of it. My wife and I had gluten free fried pickles, shrimp, and catfish that were amazing. The lemon drop martinis were a great compliment to the meal. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

I travel for work. Was in the area and wanted to try something new. Stopped here and explained that I don’t eat much and the waitress was very friendly with suggestions and getting the best ideas for my pallet. She suggested I try either a salad or a po-boy bowl. I chose the po-boy bowl. It was the best suggestion. Both of the dressing that you can choose are great compliments to the meal. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality. Keep up the great work to all the staff working together.

Food was pretty good. Got spinach and crawfish dip. Chips were excellent. I had red beans and rice as my entree. That was pretty good. The problem is that the service was horrible. My dad ate his food with no refill on his beer. Never checked on us after food was served until we were clearly done and ready for the check. What made it more unbearable was watching the waitresses conversing amongst themselves with their back turned to the customers. I guess making money isn’t their chief concern. I would advise anyone to order this to go.
