Very nice atmosphere and ambience giving a luxurious experience. The boeuf bourguignon was so tender and a delight on the senses. The other dishes we had were quite standard for a french resto. Deffo had better escargots elsewhere. The portion of the fish was quite disappointing as well for the price. But otherwise service was great.

A true gem of authentic and high-end French cuisine in the heart of Hong Kong (near PMQ). Our dining experience was nothing short of perfection from the moment we stepped inside and were greeted by a warm “Bonsoir!” to the moment we left, 2h later, with a matching warm “Merci! Bonne fin de soirée!”.

The service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing. What really stood out was the personal touch: the waiting staff addressed me by my last name throughout the evening, much like the polished service on a good business class or first class flight. It added an intimate, welcoming vibe that elevated the entire experience.

The wine list was a sommelier’s dream and ranged anywhere from affordable to extremely exclusive, but we managed to find an excellent middle ground with a great St Emilion Grand-Cru that matched both our taste and budget.

The food was exquisite. The boeuf Bourguignon stole the show for me, with the flambéed tableside crêpes Suzette dessert as a flamboyant finale to a very enjoyable evening.

Jean-Pierre is a well executed upscale French dining experience in Hong Kong. Highly recommended.

Visited Jean-Pierre, part of the Black Sheep group, for a close friend’s birthday celebration. Our table was set on a slightly elevated platform compared to the rest, which made us feel a bit in the spotlight—a unique touch for a special occasion. The warm hospitality and heartfelt service stood out right from the start, making us feel truly welcome.
Among the dishes, the starters impressed me the most. The escargots and beef tartare were both outstanding, showcasing great flavors and quality. However, I found the main course—the chicken—less to my taste. The preparation included offal stuffed inside the chicken, which may appeal to some, but isn’t personally my favorite.
Overall, the restaurant offers a lively and inviting atmosphere, perfect for gatherings or celebrations with friends. It’s a memorable place for both the ambiance and the attentive service.

Loved this experience and definitely one of my favorite black sheep restaurants. I would say the chicken is HUGE for two – we only ordered escargots, and chicken liver + foie gras bread to start, and roasted three yellow chicken (with side salad) for the main, which was filling enough for two people. I loved the escargot (a nice touch to serve them without shells), and the cubed bread on the side was a nice touch. The bread was amazing with a very generous serving of chicken liver and foie gras. The roasted chicken was a solid 8/10, while the starters were 11/10. The snacks on the house are also great – enjoyed everything.

The restaurant is gorgeous and romantic, with great service. Bookings are a bit hard since this place is very popular, but it lives up to 95% of the hype!

French! so French!! The Best French restaurant ever!! It is the second time I have been to this restaurant. It is easily my favourite French restaurant in Hong Kong. Great job Black Sheep for creating such an amazing vibe!

I love both the steak and the duck leg confit as the main. The Millefeuille was the best I have ever had. So crispy!

It has a very wide selection of wine in every region. The sommelier was particularly helpful with his impressive knowledge of the restaurant’s selection.

I definitely would come back again! and would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Jean Pierre is located somewhat off the hip radar in the hilly side of Sheung Wan but that does not take away its distinct bistro charm. It was a party when I arrived with incredibly contagious and lively vibes. I muttered “Bonsoir” as I entered and found myself pronouncing it right as the sign at the counter directed.

The signature dish at Jean Pierre is its roasted chicken, coming with house stuffing and lots of juiciness to go around. We also ordered the steak and it was wonderful. The appetisers were also excellent, kudos goes to the beef tartar and the escargot with generous sauce to smear with bread.

With a wine book of hefty pages we were dazzled by the whole epicurean experience that was half way between fine dining and party time. We had a wonderful birthday celebration, the mille feuille and the brandy lit crepes were the final touches that ended the evening in an unforgettable note.

Jean-Pierre is, quite simply, one of the finest French restaurants in Hong Kong.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere transports you to a classic Parisian dining room, perfect for both business dinners and special evenings.

The food is outstanding. Perfectly cooked meats, deeply flavorful sauces, and beautiful presentation.

The wine list is extensive and thoughtfully curated, with excellent guidance from the staff.

This is the type of restaurant that makes dining memorable. An absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates great French cuisine in Hong Kong. Highly recommended.

My recent dinner at this French bistro was an absolute delight! The confit de canard was cooked to perfection, while the pot-au-feu boasted melt-in-your-mouth beef infused with aromatic herbs and vegetables, a comforting classic done right.

What truly made the meal memorable, though, was the exceptional service from Apurv. His warm, attentive demeanor and thoughtful recommendations added a lovely personal touch that turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience.

I’ll definitely be recommending this spot to all my friends and counting down the days until my next visit. Bravo to the whole team!

Quite true to French taste, especially the escargot and onion soup which fill my urge when I don’t get to go to Paris nowadays. A bit pricey as these are no fancy stuff, but I guess the premium goes to the service and atmosphere. The Asian skin head server provided a 10/10 service, responded fast with positive energy and never missed any of our request! Super ! The ambience was warm and lively, I chilled a lot there.

Absolutely amazing place. Living in a region where salmon is everywhere and you think you’ve already tasted it in every possible way, I honestly didn’t expect to be surprised, but this restaurant completely blew me away. The salmon was absolutely outstanding, and the gnocchi were just next level.

The food alone would already make this place special, but what made the evening truly unforgettable was the atmosphere and especially the singer, Tess.

Her performance was fantastic. The level of improvisation, the connection with the audience, the movement, the voice, everything was just perfect. She didn’t just sing, she created a real experience.

Altogether it was an incredible evening: amazing cuisine, beautiful atmosphere, and a truly memorable performance. A fantastic way to spend my last night in Hong Kong.
