One of the best BBQ places I’ve been to. The price is great for a platter of food. Great tasting pulled chicken. The cornbread had pieces of corn in it which was a great addition. The mac n cheese was delicious I just added chipotle sauce to it. Definitely going back. Good food, good place and good prices.

As someone who can’t stand 99% of the restaurants I go to, because I’m a food snob, and I like a good value, this place really surprised me. Huge portions of food for very reasonable prices. They told me they smoke their meat with cherrywood and ash for hours. I came away with so much food, that if I went to another restaurant I bet I would’ve spent an extra $40 at least. This place is very casual as you do order at the counter and they bring the food to you. It’s still a comfortable sit in place.

Reheated meats aren’t really my thing. I understand its hard to make fresh BBQ but when it burns your mouth from the microwave its hard to get over. Mac n cheese isn’t cheesy …potato salad isprobably the best I’ve ever had. House Bbq sauce is one note. Clean n nice staff. Good prices.

My first visit to JD’s Smokehouse and BBQ. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars down in Dallas and Houston tasting there brisket, ribs and pulled pork. I’d have to say J & D’s absolutely would fit right in with any of those restaurants in Texas. The prices are super reasonable and the food is excellent. Hope more people get a chance to discover this gem.

Much improved since change of management a little while ago. The new menu seems more diverse, making it easier to find something to eat for friends and colleagues that are not interested in smoked meats. No more reasons for them to veto this as a lunch destination! JD’s offer a decent selection of beer, with a few tap choices and lots of bottles and cans. Reasonably priced, too.
I had rib tips platter with jalapeno caps – breaded and fried jalapeno slices. Both were served prompty, and tasted great. Two sauce choice were available at the table: house and chipotle. I’d like to see more: perhaps a spicy option, or a Carolina style one.

A bit tucked away and hard to see unless you know where to look. That is the only negative I can think of about this place. It’s very tidy and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There are several TVs showing local sports and of course the food is great! Each table has two housemade BBQ sauces. I recommend the lighter/orange one. It’s got a tang to it that goes great with pretty much anything.

Friendly staff, extremely clean establishment. The food was delicious and the smell that hits you when you walk in immediately signals that you have found a great place to eat. Prices are very decent for the quality and the dining experience.
I texted my lover and I said, this meal came from heaven and if God wants it back he’s gonna have to arm wrestle me for it.

Ribs are wonderful, brisket is good but a little dry, needs sauce. Probably smoked too long. Mac and cheese is also good and the Cajun fries are great.

We had smoked brisket, slides and burnt tips, both tasted great! Ordered family platter which has enough for 4 adults. We ordered 4 sides which were disproportionate…3 were singles servings and then a basket of fries that we left half. Next time only two sides double!

Outstanding Memphis style BBQ. Love the brisket and pulled chicken. Sides are all excellent. House sauce is very tasty and a little sweet.
