Owners, Jerry and Glenda, have served others with their love of creative cooking through the years by offering up their services for many weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, fund-raising and charity events. JC’s Bar-B-Q has been enjoyed by many friends, family, and members of the community for many years and since 2014, JC’s Bar-B-Q has been available to all! The Van Buren, Arkansas community has welcomed JC’s Bar-B-Q Place with open arms and it is a community that we are proud to be a part of!

Ribs made me think I was chewing on a tree branch. At first I thought it was the cartilage that you find in ribs but then I quickly realized that these were extremely dried out and felt like I was chewing on beef jerky. These had to of been cooked prior, reheated and then cooled down leaving a dried pork rib. To add insult to injury these ribs were very lightly seasoned and and were borderline flavorless.
I am on a diet for a few months and cant eat the sauces. These sauces are obviously provided to be the star of the show.
Went and dug into the brisket. Very moist and juicy! Ate the whole slice in one bite. Absolutely flavorless! No smoke ring at all, which makes me believe this bad boy was cooked in the oven. And then went to dig into the burnt ends. Bark looked great, and the flavor was also just not there.
Went back inside to grab some salt and that definitely helped. Was a huge let down especially based on how high the ratings are?
My mother had the pork baked potato and said she really liked it. It did look good!
Just cant understand how this place is rated so high. I wanted it to be amazing! I was really looking forward to adding to my list of favorite BBQ places. Spent some time searching the internet to find this place and really feel like I was let down. Even the menus we picked up had BBQ finger prints all over them. Sigh.

This is by far the best BBQ Angus Brisket that I ever had in my life. So tender that it falls apart in your fork. The okra and cole slaw was very tasty and fresh. JC’s impressed me with playing Christian music and great friendly service. This is my first time visiting and not my last. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This place was really good. The food was all excellent, especially the briskit….between the two of us we got every kind of meat, except the ribs….I’m telling you…get the briskit it was all good, but the briskit was Devine. All the sides were really good, especially the Cajun corn, and the spicy baked beans. Coleslaw was decent, the potato salad was, well..decent. it wasn’t bad…it was just a little underwhelming. The meats made up for it. Sauces…they had mild, hot, and sweet all pretty good. Service was above average, and their new location is nice. My only criticism…and it’s not that big a deal are the portion sizes of the meats. Sides were well portioned, but we ate every bit of meat on both our plates. I usually expect to have leftovers so that was a tad sad….until I looked at the check, and two adults ate well for about $15 each. That makes the whole no leftover think understable. All in all, it was a really good late lunch/early dinner. And their fried pies are superb!

Stopped in for lunch with my Leadership Crawford County classmates, and JC’s BBQ did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend if you’re craving great BBQ and friendly faces!

Long wait for an undercooked burger. But the staff is very friendly. Spoke with management offered to let me drive all the way backfor a refund, guess they are behind the times and can’t refund card over the phone. She also offered to give me a credit to come back another time, but I’m not interested in eating there a 2nd time the rest of the food was just ok. They did try and tell me that it was just a pink ring from being smoked but it was pink all the way through pic included.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve had. Had the ribs, fries and baked. That sweet BBQ sauce was to die for. Not sure if they have live music every night but they did tonight and those gentlemen sounded amazing. If we weren’t from Oklahoma, this would be a regular spot for us. You MUST try their fried pies!

Just ate here recently and had the ribs and corn. Ribs were delicious, corn wasn’t anything special. My brother got the pulled pork and like it as well. My family likes eating here pretty often. Would recommend.
