I am blown away. We were recommended this place by so many people, and we went, and it was a colossal disappointment.
Our table ordered 5 steaks. 1 was prepared correctly. The steak in the picture was ordered as medium well.
Their French fries were so overcooked they were dry and tasted burnt.
They didn’t bring us rolls to begin with.
They forgot to bring me a drink.
Their steak had little to no seasoning. Probably the worst steak I’ve ever eaten.
They were so slammed, we didn’t even bring it up. In fact, they forgot about us and didn’t offer dessert, so we walked out and they had no idea we even left.
Of all the restaurants we came to at Moon Palace, this was easily our least favorite. I wonder if they were understaffed or what, but I can’t remember a worse dining experience.

A common adage goes you have wait for the best things in life. This is strangely true for this place. The waiting time tires you out. However, the yummy food makes you forget all those misgivings . Be it the sea food platter, grilled salmon or the grilled chicken breast … everything on the menu was a treat to the tastebuds. If you don’t mind the wait times, you will love this place.

Steak quality and temperature varied greatly each time. Very odd.
Service was average our first visit and great our second.
We love the lava cake and ice cream offerings.
The sides are excellent.
Good shrimp cocktail as well.

Overall a fabulous experience. Out of the park were the Ginger Lemon Drop cocktail and the creamed spinach. The cremes spinach on top of a garlic spread and mushroom sauce medium rare rib eye was out of this world. So much flavor!!

We just had a great meal at JC steakhouse and a lot of it had to do with the service that Luis provided to our family during our meal. He was attentive and made many great recommendations. The food was also the best we had so far at the resort. The steaks we had were prepared perfectly and salads and sides we had were also very good. Would love to eat there again if I could get another reservation for the remainder of my stay

The best restaurant by far in this location‼️ The resort overall is probably the worst I’ve been to ever. This restaurant was one of highlights here. The tomahawk steak had a nice crispy sear and perfectly soft inside. It was a lot of meat for the price. The service was phenomenal.

Food here was pretty good about half the time, the other half was gross. Very inconsistent. We ordered beef carpaccio twice, once was unseasoned and unpleasant, the next it was excellent. It’s like they forgot to add salt and capers one time so it was just unseasoned beef. The octopus the night we ordered it was bitter and burnt, very unpleasant. The steaks were inconsistent. Some good and cooked to order, others probably too thin, overcooked and rubbery. The service was great, the wait staff was consistency kind, curteous and attendant. The front of house staff, less so. They insistent all 16 people in our party stand up and show themselves at the door before being seated. We have two people waiting for a drink at the lobby bar and 2 kids at the wired lounge next door. 12/16 people should be sufficient to seat a party but we needed to crowd the entrance, making it impossible for anyone to enter or leave in order to be seated. Then we had to wait for drinks since some of our party had to abandon their lobby bar orders because of this ridiculous rule.

The only steak house in the grand, hard to make a reservation and it wasn’t worth the wait. Got the tomahawk, $45, a steal? NOT…medium rare, took 1 hour to cook. It wasn’t tender. Why? HOW? So my wife got the rib eye, that’s got to be tender right? How can ribeye medium rare not be juicy and tender. It wasn’t!!! This is the only steak house I have been to that the meats were like rubber. The meats were not good at all. Service at the grand is always good, and JC is no different. This saved this dinner. The other complaint is the wait for the food, dinner took 2 hours. Also, the sides aren’t good either. Only the mash is excellent. Clam chowder isn’t great, bread bowl is soft. what else?? Bread pudding is very good. Ice beer is good!! Overall, not worth the reservation and the fuss.

Most of the dishes were very tasteful, however the service could’ve been a little faster . We waited about half hour before the waiter came over and offer us drinks and gave us menus . the rib , the fried calamari was the most delicious we ever tried , however Beats gazpacho and truffle french fry could really use some improvement. as far as presentation ,every dish was a piece of art , it was set beautifully and the temperature was perfect , again , the exception was a french fry it was barely warm . if you will ever be at that restaurant you will be happy that you visited and you most likely will have unforgettable experience . the manager of the restaurant and the chef will happily come out to your table to hear what you have to say about t your dinner experience. so , overall I do recommend this restaurant for couples or large companies , however I would not recommend to go there with small children .
