The food here is absolutely delicious!! Each time I’ve visited I’ve gotten a cheesesteak and an empanada. The empanadas are crispy with plenty of filling. I’ve enjoyed every flavor I’ve gotten, so you can’t go wrong. The cheesesteak has plenty of cheese and meat, both delicious, and the roll is fantastic. The service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is bright, clean, and comfortable if you plan on dining in. My favorite place for a cheesesteak in the area!!

This was a Top 5 cheesesteak for me.
I ordered a regular cheesesteak on a seeded roll with cooper cheese and fried onions. Sandwich was huge; ton of meat and cheese.
The meat was perfect; tender and well seasoned. I would gladly eat a plate of just the meat.
The onions were perfect also; dime-sized chunks fried to semi-translucent.
Great roll to round out the sandwich. It was delicious, soft, and easily held together.

Food is really good! Their chicken cutlet is nice and tender, and they have awesome provolone cheese. A small was very filling. Great fresh bread too. Wish I lived closer, I’d be here every day.

First visit. The staff was very friendly from the moment I walked in. I ordered a cheese steak and after paying was invited to have a seat and the food would be brought to me when ready.
The food arrived in a timely manner and was piping hot!!! The roll was extremely fresh and tasty. It was overflowing with chopped steak, diced peppers and onions and topped with an ample amount of cheese (mozzarella was my choice of cheese). I believe it is the roll that makes an excellent cheese steak. This was one of the best rolls I have ever had!
The cheese steak was also HUGE! If you aren’t that hungry, I would suggest getting the small version instead of the regular.
It was one of the best cheese steaks I have ever had!!!!
The staff thanked me for coming as I left.
If you are looking for and true Philly cheese steak, you need to stop here.

Being a native of South Philadelphia, I was VERY skeptical of a Cheesesteak shop opening up locally. But I was amazed at how good the food is at Jay’s Steaks! Personally, this is damn close to what I remember growing up with (23rd & Snyder, btw).
The rib eye is spot-on! The rolls (most important to a good cheesesteak, btw) are excellent. Portion sizes are well-filling. The prices are well worth it!
Definitely check them out if you didn’t already. If I did have to choose a close-second, it would be Jim’s on South Street (which might not be there due to a fire).
You will NOT be disappointed.

I had their italian hoagie and it was good and worth getting again. My wife had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and was very happy with it. The cheesesteak egg rolls are probably the best I’ve had and I’ve had alot of them form many different places. Can’t wait to go back and try their cheesesteaks

Howdie Foodies! BigDaveIsFat here with another review. This review takes us to Jay’s Steaks located in Royersford, Pa. My order consisted of a cheesesteak with American cheese, extra onions and lite ketchup with a side of sweet peppers. This sandwich was good. Real good. No it’s not top tier like Gazzos or JD’s but it is hitting. It was well seasoned and the steak melted in my mouth. No Diddy! The bread to meat ratio was great and the seeded roll was awesome. I want to say this steak is better than Pudges, but I can’t. Reason being is because this cheesesteak needed more seasoning. If this jawn had the seasoning from Pudges, it would move past them in ranking and place them among greats. It was that good. So good that I ate it all without stopping. Yep! I wolfed it down in minutes because my name BigDaveIsFat says it all.

Good food , we ordered a cheese steak with onions, peppers and mushrooms. The same on a chicken cheese steak with ketchup and mustard with fries. The steaks were tasty and fries were great. There was also a bonus. They had Eagle’s Jerseys on the wall with other Philly sports photos.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU JAYS for having gluten free rolls that taste AMAZING! The cheesesteak was delicious. Only reason I gave four stars was because I had a bunch of chewy steak pieces, but we will definitely be ordering from here again. Also the young guy was so helpful and nice. Great job guys!
