I’m from Brooklyn NY so you can’t fool me…The price for a small Curry Chicken is higher then others I frequent. $15.99 and never told me I was being charged extra to use a CC❓️ This is a food truck so he doesn’t have the higher rents like a brick n mortar place which 2 I know are less I couldn’t remember the name when I was there as I was hangry. After eating the Curry Chicken, I can now think My 1st visit here. Convenient in a gas station parking lot so at least you know there’s a real bathroom nearby n to Wash your hands. The Curry Chicken was delish n so was the cabbage with mixed veggies. The rice n peas was good but I like Hines Caribbean Cuisine rice n peas better but not so much their curry Chicken. Jay’s curry Chicken is better. But I feel like I paid for the price of a Large when I asked for a small dinner. I did say something straight away…Your immediate competition is Metro Meat Market that also has a Jamaican cook who makes the Curry Chicken & Oxtails both also less but no rice n peas there. I am a foodie n my speciality is Ethnic Foods‼️ ❣️ No real line at the food truck makes this a quick pick up & go but the atmosphere sucks because its the hood. Lots of unhoused hanging around.

Pulled up here on a lunch break from school, I have been eating the Jamaican cuisine really since I was a kid So when I saw the Signs I thought to myself Jamaican food sounded good, I wasn’t prepared for what I was going to be served. I had the curry goat And it was hands-down, the best I’ve ever had in my life. This was the kind of comfort food that was so good that It would force you to make noises while you were eating it and shake your head while you were making the noises. The execution of this plate from the perfectly cooked rice and peas To the in depth, flavors and tenderness of the goat that only a great grandmother could achieve was there. If I could, I would give this place 10 stars furthermore if you are eating Jamaican food anywhere else in the Tampa area you are doing your pallet a disservice. Thank you guys for caring enough to produce that level of Jamaican Cuisine. Like I told you when I was there, I’m positive that you are making your grandmother Very, very proud.

The food was so good I didn’t get to take pics. We ordered the jerk chicken and curry goat. Everything was amazing, even the cabbage and rice and peas. A lot of times when I go to Jamaican restaurants they focus heavily on the flavor of the meats and totally miss it on the sides. The jerk was smokey, spicy seasoned to perfection and the meat was tender. The goat was also well seasoned, spicy and falling off the bone. As a Trinidadian and foodie I stamp this place official!

I was a little thrown off by the peculiar natives and that it was a food truck and not a restaurant but the food was totally worth the sketchy local. I would definitely be back the next time I’m in Tampa.

Purchased Escovitched Snapper Fish with peppers, onions, and scotch bonnets medley over white rice with steamed cabbage, and Curry Chicken over white rice with steamed cabbage. Absolutely Delicious. The only thing I would change is a little less salt on the curry chicken. The Snapper, I usually eat my peppers and onions stewed down over Escovitched fish, this was my first time eating it blanched/uncooked; not sure the preparation. But It was absolutely delicious this way! Going forward I’m eating mines this way, and I feel it’s more healthier. Good job.

Don’t want to cook for the family tonight? This is perfect for a quick stop off I-4. The food was delicious, and the portions were more than enough. The chicken and rice was really good, and it made for a great meal after work.

I absolutely love the jerk tilapia. Food is always fresh, the amount of food and taste is always worth the money you spend. I been regularly coming here since I discovered this gem in February and I am never disappointed.

Very good oxtails savory with hint of sweetness in the sauce but it was perfect. Never had it that way. Portions are a good amount to match the price. Soursoup juice was sweet and refreshing definitely will be back to try other dishes.

I ordered jerk chicken dinner dissatisfied. Overall the food was cold, tasteless, and the rice n peas were old/taste awful and jerk chicken was uncooked. Not cool. I won’t be eating anything there anymore. Very disappointed.
