I had an unfavorable run in while they were building out the restaurant but I told the owner (before that encounter ) that I would support the business. I am keeping my word bc I have a black business as well, and I dont take entrepreneurial ventures and efforts lightly. After a month I finally got to try the restaurant today. Atmosphere is chill, vibe is neo-soul, much better than Tamp And Tap who was there before. There are more food options, staff is friendly and prompt.

Had such a great breakfast at Jay’s! Food was hot, flavorful & satisfying. Ordered a dirty chai & it was prefect mix of sweet & spicy, I loved it! Service was fast and reliable, they made sure I had everything I wanted or needed

Come for the food which is high quality and freshly made, BUT surprisingly also only luke warm, plus we waited for over 30 minutes. Coffee was okay, but not even close to Humble Drip. Loved the friendly table service, and would easily be five star if our food was hot.

Amazing coffee shop and excellent place to grab a great bite to eat! We were stay within walking distance and stopped in and were very pleasantly surprised. The coffee was hot, fresh and tasted great! The sandwiches were simply amazing and you watch Jay prepare them right in front of you. The fires were hot and fresh. The chips were fresh and crispy! Jay is doing an amazing job and it is well worth a stop in to see him!

Perfect new coffee and breakfast spot in a great downtown location ☕ I missed the old place when it closed, but this is even better. Super friendly staff, great coffee and my breakfast burrito was delicious. My new breakfast and coffee go to near my hotel when visiting town.

The breakfast was excellent, especially the potatoes with peppers. Very friendly staff. The hybrid concept of ordering at the counter and getting served is you have to get used to, but works. The interior is modern and very welcoming. Definitely a place to enjoy breakfast.

Oh my goodness! Yesssss. Support support support! Was greeted with a smiling face and someone who was happy to serve. We ordered two coffees and three breakfast items: breakfast burrito, breakfast bowel, and honey butta chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and the baristas were super helpful and kind!

Sitting here sipping my chai latte while they make up my food order and I just wanted to comment on how nice the staff are. Service on the coffees I ordered was really prompt and I had a nice size dining area with a nice relaxed vibe.

We each had Jay’s Omelette which allows for 4 ingredients. There are more than enough choices to fill the large omelette. It was delicious! The oatmeal side was wonderful! It was garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon and I detected vanilla – a delightful touch! My partner had the grits and enjoyed them. The ambiance was perfect for a Sunday brunch. We’ll stop here again the next time we’re in Memphis.
