Jay’s Caribbean Cuisine is one of my go-to lunch spots; easily a 10/10 every time. I ordered the jerk chicken plate with rice and peas topped with oxtail gravy, and it was absolutely on point. The jerk chicken was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, and the oxtail gravy took the rice and peas to another level; rich, savory, and comforting.

The service is always great. The ladies behind the counter genuinely make me feel like I’m getting food from my aunties (maybe because I’ve become a regular ). That kind of warmth and consistency really makes a difference.

The ambiance is chill, with tables available if you want to dine in. There’s an open parking lot, though the plaza can get pretty busy, so parking can sometimes be a little tight. Still totally worth it.

For $8.99, the portions, flavor, and overall experience can’t be beat. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid Caribbean lunch spot you can count on.

Went specifically for the oxtail as that’s what my husband and I were craving. Did not disappoint. Good size plate, oxtail was delicious and not too fatty.

The dumpling was so good.

The fridge was stocked with all types of Jamaican drinks from carrot with milk to different kolas. I had the refreshing champagne kolas.

For dessert we took home a small pint of grape nut ice cream. Delish tastes like a cereal ice cream. They had other flavors available such as the classic rum raisin.

The customer service was excellent, which is the main reason for my 5-star rating. The food was decent—nothing spectacular. The jerk chicken, in particular, didn’t seem grilled; it tasted more like it was boiled, and the sauce appeared to be store-bought. That said, it’s a good spot for a quick lunch, thanks to the fast service. I’d definitely stop by again if I were in the area.

I patronized the business for the first time today and ordered the Stew Chicken. Service was good, but If I wanted bones for lunch, I would have asked for them. Stew beef isn’t supposed to have a plethora of bones, if any at that. Not to mention the cabbage tasted like plastic. I could’ve added more pics but I just threw this garbage out. I don’t know if it’s laziness or simply resting on your laurels, but this is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place.

I drove 51 minutes in the rain to pick up breakfast and dinner from this location — and it was worth every single minute. The food was absolutely superb. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned.

What really stood out to me was the customer service. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming. Everyone greeted me with a smile and made sure I felt taken care of. It’s rare to find an establishment where the food is amazing and the service matches that same level of excellence.

This will definitely be my monthly drive for breakfast and dinner. If I could give 20 stars, I absolutely would. Highly recommend!

I had the Ackee and saltfish dish and a 2 meat dinner (oxtail and cow foot).

Very bad service. The staff at this location were disrespectful, rude, and pissed off from the getgo. Went to pickup an order, didn’t even get a hello, just a ” You here to pickup?! Then the other lady with an angry look, just asked whats the name? She went back to get the order. I took this time to look at the menu, to see if I’d like to get something. Next thing i know, I hear someone saying, “HELLO?! HELLO?!”. The staff here need to be replaced.

These are ox scraps not oxtails. Barely any meat at all. The cabbage needs to be cooked longer. The rice and gravy and plantains were the most flavorful items sadly. Not worth the price.
