The food was amazing! They have some really good options to choose from. I loved their mini thali with bisi bele bath, curry rice, curd rice, pickles, papadam, and veg kurma. Their idli was soft and fresh, sambhar was delicious and medu vada was crispy. Everything tasted perfect! Even their gulab jamun is better than a lot others I’ve tried, they were soft and not too sweet. Definitely recommend.

Affordable and family friendly. This is phenomenal home style Tamil food. The food tastes fresh and isn’t awfully heavy. We had the thali, and dosas and everything was great. The sambar especially is the best I’ve had in Seattle. Note parking can be a pain on weekends because of the very popular asian restaurants in this mall.

Absolutely love their authentic South Indian food! We usually come here for breakfast, and it never disappoints. The combo with upma is a must, the upma is especially delicious. Their filter coffee is spot on, and the elaneer payasam (tender coconut kheer) is sooo good, a total standout.

Highly recommend Jayam Tiffins if you’re craving real South Indian flavors. Not sure why the ratings don’t fully reflect how good the food is, but trust me you won’t regret it. The place gets busy, so orders can sometimes take a bit longer, but it’s absolutely worth it for the taste. Go for the food, and you’ll love it.

This food takes me straight back home <3 We always get the thali at Jayam. The sambar, rasam and tomato chutney hit the spot. Also they have amazing elaneer payasam They offer generous portion sizes of the thali and I usually have enough for two meals. The service is wonderful. Everyone in the staff is super kind and friendly. 10/10 recommend if you’re missing home food.

Consistently great tasting food that is soothing to the stomach. They live up to their name and serve thali even on weekdays for lunch+dinner which is impressive and is value for money! Also, bumped into the gentleman owner Mr. Srikumar today and requested him to keep continuing this great effort and service!

Jayam’s Idli & Sambar was an absolute delight! The idlis were unbelievably soft and fresh, and the sambar was rich, authentic, and bursting with traditional flavors — it truly felt like home-style South Indian food done perfectly. You can instantly tell the ingredients are fresh and prepared with a lot of care and passion.

What really stood out, apart from the amazing food, was the exceptional customer service by the entire team. They were warm, welcoming, and made sure every guest felt taken care of.

Honestly, this is the best food I’ve had in the United States, hands down. A must-visit for anyone who loves genuinely good, high-quality vegetarian food. Highly recommended!

We had to wait 20 plus minutes during less crowded time. Food was good but the place was not clean. The person who came at tye counter after 20 plus minutes was very rude and didn’t say sorry even after we had a joking light mood conversation with him about poor cusomer service and such long times. Infact, he said, i don’t care about reviews and whether my restaurant runs.

Decent food. Really bad service and experience.
Very limited sambar was given with 2 idli and 1 vada and when asked to give more, the person on the food counter started arguing by that it is not unlimited and this is the best one can do. Are we supposed to eat just idli without sambar? Pathetic!

Flavorful food, hearty portion size, quick service and plain ambience. This is a self service restaurant, the service was super quick. Medu vada was okay but the sambar and two chutneys- green and red were yum. Kottu veg parotta was decent, flavours and spices can be amped up! The lunch highlight was Jackfruit biryani!!! Simply delicious Mango lassi was good. The food was light on the palette which we ended with a filter kaapi.
This is a vegetarian restaurant and loads to offer. Ample parking spots available, the area has lots of asian cuisine restaurants lined up.
Would definitely like to revisit jayams for bisibele bhat and more of Jackfruit biryani! + Much More

I visited Jayam’s Tiffen and Thali on a weekday evening and had a very pleasant experience.

The restaurant is located in a convenient and serene area, right next to the Hanuman Temple, which adds a peaceful and spiritual touch to the surroundings.

It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine in a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant space is quite large, offering plenty of seating and a clean, well-maintained dining area.

The menu has a good variety of vegetarian options, making it easy to find something appealing whether you’re looking for a light snack or a full meal.

I ordered the Vada Rasam, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The rasam was flavorful and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice and tanginess.

The portion size was well worth the price, making it a great value for money.

The service was quick and efficient, and the staff was polite and attentive. Despite being close to a popular temple and in a busy area, the restaurant maintained a calm and peaceful dining environment, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable.

If you’re in the area and looking for a clean, affordable, and tasty vegetarian meal, Jayam’s Tiffen and Thali is definitely worth a visit. I look forward to returning and trying more items from their menu.
