Social Profile:

Since first opening their doors in 1988, the Jay Bharat Restaurant in Artesia has been supplying the Southland with distinct specialties from the Indian region of Gujarati. A favorite among frequent visitors are the different varieties of Thali , a tray containing small servings of rice, lentils, yogurt, vegetables and chutney in individual dishes. The restaurant also specializes in Indian candy such as the fudge-like burfee or balushahi , which is similar to a cookie. If you cant get to Artesia or even California for that matter, Jay Bharat offers all of their snacks and sweets on their website.

Bright, casual restaurant specializing in traditional village-style Indian street foods.

First time back post renovations. And wow! Not only is the interior immaculate, but the food quality is outstanding. Reasonable prices too

Dev sev puri is *chef’s kiss*
Kachoris amazing
White dhokla was ok
Can’t go wrong with the thalis

Chai was really really good

Food came out quick! Service was outstanding

Really warm, welcoming energy. The branding is stellar (from furniture, plates/cups, art on wall, storytelling with history of the family business, all of it!)

Could be my new favorite spot in Artesia. It’s a welcomed change from Rajdhani and Podi Dosa for high quality good food!

Hands down the best Indian vegetarian restaurant in all of LA and San Diego! Prices are reasonable, portions are huge, quality of service and food is amazing. This sets the bar high for an Indian restaurant with respect to ambience and how everything is so clean. Amazing restaurant will be back soon and highly recommend it.

We went to check out the new remodel they did. We ordered dosa which wasn’t cooked crispy despite we telling them. The sauces we extremely bland ketchup would have tasted better coconut chutney was watery. We got eggplant sabji that tasted ok. Got some dahi puri it was good We ordered mango lassi. Somehow they ran out of it and asked either we can change or refund.. Decided to try the cold coco and a falooda drink. Falooda drink was like water downed. The cold coco was okay seemed like a lot chocolate syrup. Got Italian samosa that tasted fine. Place looks great people were helpful but the food quality and taste seems it went backwards.

This place was one of my favorite south Indian vegetarian restaurants in Little India. It went through a large renovation recently and expanded to twice the size with much more modern decor. Food is still good. Will be coming back for more doses and thalis.

That Gujarati thali I had was absolutely amazing! The variety of dishes was incredible, with so many different flavors and textures all on one plate. Every bite was a delicious adventure, from the sweet to the savory. It really showcased the best of Gujarati cuisine. I’m already thinking about going back for another one!

Came in to check out the remodeled restaurant. The menu has changed a little but the food does taste good. I little spicy but good. Service is good, just miss the previous ladies that served prior to remodeling.

This place has re-opened at the same location but in a much bigger space. They still have maintained the same great taste and added a few more options to their menu. We love their vadapav and Thali. Some items can be perfected.

The staff is courteous and welcoming. Ample free parking available on the street for up to one hour. This place has restrooms for customers and is wheelchair accessible.

The restaurant is completely renovated and looks great. You order at the counter and they allocate the table which is numbered and the food is bought to the table. The food comes fairly quickly . The Bombay samosas were excellent had the right crunch and a great filling. The papdi chat was presented well and had the right tang and sweetness. The bhel puri was great. The presentation was good. The millet rotis with 2 type of curries were awesome. I tried the Undhiyu and the shahi paneer which were great. The Gujarati thali was excellent too. The thali came with 5 poories which were excellent. We were happy and will definitely go back.

Very good location for a party, although weekend lunchtimes are super busy! We celebrated our mother’s milestone birthday with about 15 people attending. Super fun. Great food. Especially the starters and the thali lunches. Quite loud though. Mit was very accommodating and Ankita and Yvette were very efficient. Thanks for making this fun for everyone!!!
